I mean, come on. Everyone was ready to revolt cuz TER wanted to do something bigger and better. Even some of the mods talked shit.

But here we are. I know I'm not the only one that hates change but it happened. Shit, change is inevitable and you fucking know this.

So, didn't mean to piss in your corn flakes or anything, but do you really miss the old site?

I will admit that there were some serious changes that were made to the "New TER" that made it at least tolerable, but IMO "old TER" is still vastly superior and it is the version that I will use as long as it is available.

Actually, I'm getting ready to graduate from beer to rum and coke in a few.

Nah, but seriously, I'm getting ready to make a monster breakfast for me and my boys and start on a huge-ass pot of red chile stew that I'll be devouring for the rest of the day and night...

I'm obsessed with making green chile....It's the Holy Grail of chili for me.

This year I plan to re-invent my recipe and make a hyper refined version. I want to get it leaner but more intense. Fuckin' gourmet chili. Crazy right?

I order Hatch Big Jim's every season and make a few pots..........I roast my chilies over natural charcoal......use a lightly smoked pork shoulder......roasted corn, tomatillos, brown sugar, lime....some pintos maybe....chipotle, ancho, guajillo......fresh chili as well for the clean taste.......I don't like the fresh poblanos.....very bitter the ones available here. The jalepenos tend to be meek as well, but I make up for them with scotchbonnets or habaneros.

You get the picture.

Wickedly good shit.

Today though.........

I'm going to make a lobster & corn chowder.

I normally buy 2  30 pound sacks of green chile a year late August, and spend the afternoon bagging them to put in my freezer. Already roasted, just pull them out to thaw and skin and de-vein them later.

Yeah, but I have a deal about red chile today. Not going crazy and fuck with the pods, just got a tub of frozen already, fry up some beef and potatoes, sautee' onions and garlic, mix it all together with some other spices and let it slow cook allday.

That's crazy you know about Hatch. I'm very impressed!

Yes, I'm moderated for life cuz I'm a fuck-off. It's totally my fault, and I understand the repercussions.

But, I don't truly believe we don't have a say-so in certain matters.

I've had the pleasure of helping some people out of jams. It's not who you blow, but who you know, if you get my drift.

Granted, it didn't get me out of my predicament. But at least a few saw some kind of closure and/or reprieve from there's.

That's what it's all about. If you can't be a member of a community and help each other, what's the point?

It seems like you're speaking of your dealings with the mods, who are far more reasonable, because they, are us, only in red letters. I'm talking about the big TER god in the sky - admin - who hears and joyfully ignores our prayers. As in every suggested change to the site, and every complaint made about it. The overwhelming negative response to the new version of the site being a prime example.

since the change .. a thriving chat community has diminished to a total wasteland.. It's a big night when 8 people are there.

It doesn't work well with any of the more popular web browsers.

So as to NO more bitching.. the people that were bitching have either accepted the change or have simply left TER all together.

There was no point in continueing the complaining when it was VERY obvious that NOTHING would be done to redress the complaints.

I for one, find that my use of this site is less than 10% of what it used to be.

I hate what they have done and I have moved on

"New format", what do you mean, once I found classic.theeroticreview.com I haven't though much about it.  Now if they shut "Classic" down there will be a lot of loud bitching, for whatever good it will do.

I made the changeover.   Now, the old format looks dated, and kinda drab.  I remember when the beloved old format replaced it's predecessor back in '05...same reaction as now.  Back then, the change wasn't as radical...mainly just a change in font colors and background.   But you would have thought it was the end of the world as we know it.  What I found most amusing were some people threatening to cancel membership...I mean, gimme a break!   TER will eventually retire the old format, so you can expect to see more whining when it does.  

Speaking of bitching and moaning, TER increased it's membership fee by 50% a few weeks ago, and there has been little comment.  I would have expected THAT to garner some negative commentary, but not much has been said.    Interesting...
