how many times would you let a provider cancel/reschedule on you before you cut your losses and moved on?

Normaly once, however, I have given some providers a second chance, if they come up with a great reason...........

I agree that it depends. I will give someone I've never seen one chance (if it's someone I really wanting to meet!).

If it's one of my regulars it might be unlimited if they are all good excuses. We're all human and I've had to cancle twice with two different ladies over the past 2 months.

My biggest problem with cancling is how much time they tell me. If it's very last minute I tend to get really upset. If it's a day advance I don't get upset at all.

I usually try to get back in touch with her to find out what happened.

If I can't reach her or she is combative...well that is the end and I move on.

Sometimes they have valid reasons, just like we do, so then I will try again.

There is no one right answer to this here question.

Well. If the cancellation comes without some really convincing reason, an expression of remorse or disappointment and / or an offer to make it up to me, I apply a one strike rule, and move on.

But

Two of my favorite regulars canceled our first meeting. One canceled an hour before, but her reason seemed very legit. But both were sweet about it and said the right things to keep my interest. In both of those instances I am very glad that I tried again.

It all depends on the circumstances. My ATF canceled our first appointment with a good reason. Damn glad I gave her another chance.

You also have to take into account that if the lady gets an offer for a longer appt, especially an overnight or weekend, you're going to get bumped. Simple dollars and cents. It sucks if you lay out that much travel time and you don't hear in advance though. As long as a lady gives  notice that she needs to cancel (which almost always means being bumped either for a more lucrative deal or a long term or favorite client), says something mollifying (I'm really sorry, I'll make it up to you, I hope to see you again, soon, etc), and maybe offers an alternative date or time, and / or a discount, there is every reason to take it gracefully and move on. But it will sometimes happen. It's a business......

to see, her, that's unforgivable. But she'll do it since you're not likely to become a regular at that traveling distance and if there's someone close by or an existing regular who wants a longer block of time. Bad business? certainly, the way most real businesses look at the world. But not necessarily in terms of provider math.....

thanks for the replies.  i've had a provider cancel on me three times in three weeks and she wanted to reschedule again.  i think i'm going to move on since i'm somewhat annoyed by the situation and it would probably effect the appointment.

I would never do that to you. Have you drive all the way out here and cancell on you mid way. You are too sweet of a person. And I hope any other beautiful lady you have your mind set on seeing will not do that to you either. Take care!

Hate to say this but if she does it to the same person more than twice, she either does not want to hurt your feelings or she is just a flake lol. Unless it is some serious medical condition with her or one of her family members, I would not accept it, especially if her rate is a premium. If you are shopping at K-Mart, you really can't expect to get top notch service, so that is your fault if that's the case.

Any girl can spead her legs and open her mouth, but it takes a business woman and a professional to be prompt in showing up, returning emails and calls, and knowing how to conduct herself like a lady in public.

Do more research before taking the plunge.

I've not met the lady yet who would not bump a one or two hour date for longer date, an overnight or weekend, regardless of whether she liked the guy. It is a biz, after all.....

the ladies to think twice about canceling, bumping, NC/NS is if we

adopt a one strike or at most two strike policy

and

let each other know on our board who did what

Most of em don't think they need your business - there's other guys out there. If we want it to change we have to address it proactively...

Dom,
3 X in 3 weeks...  is sure a run of bad luck.  To let it go that long, I'd have to be convinced of a really good reason each time.
I don't know if I'd have given a third chance...  that depends.  Are you into variety?  Do you prefer to get comfortable with a Fav?  This lady is unreliable.  (Maybe it's her fault, maybe not.)  If I was into variety, maybe I'd chance it.  As I'm into Favs, I'd not.
