PRICES & REVIEWS

A recent post spoke to the remarkably high cost of providers these days. When I see these reviews where guys are dropping 600 or more on a session and giving out ratings of 5 or 6, we’ll man, that’s just gotta hurt. I’ve felt bad enough in the past when I spent 250 on a session that was a dud, but 600 for a mediocre time? Ugh, that is painful.

Because otherwise you can't really have a uniform scale.

So I think many times a bad review would be better if the price was cheaper.

With that said, a lot of times the price doesn't really reflect the quality at all. Lol

Harpooner,
First of all, Providers should not be too high on prices. Prices & Services need to be equal in quality (Meaning, do not make prices high then what The Provider are able to give the services that are as great as the Prices).

I agree it's really unfortunate to spend 600 or more on a bad session. That being said, I only charge 700/hr and 900/90 mins because I know I'm worth every last drop ;) and the gentlemen who see me know I am too.

I started 5 years ago at 450/hour and as I got more and more great reviews and more demand, it didn't make sense to stay at that rate. I like to be low volume (1-3 gentlemen a week) and my low rates scared kept me at a higher volume. It also scared away classier gentlemen while inviting men on the sketchy side. I don't think anyone should raise their rates unless they're offering a really great experience equal to the rate. Then everyone is happy.

I agree 100% that rates should--as much as reasonable--match the market for the services being delivered.  And here in LA the starting price for a good date is now 700.

The place where I disagree is about everyone being happy.  As Agent Smith famously said, we humans define our reality through "misery and suffering".  Some of us, at least, are going to find something to complain about no matter what.

There are 3 things in life where I don't care about price: meals, tattoos, providers.

Tbh as a client I also prefer higher rates for the same reasons you mentioned. For a few reasons. 1) If I just wanted to bang I can go to a bar, but I pay for an experience (and no strings). 2) High rates are typically indicative of low volume, it's nice knowing I'm probably the only guy that day or at least there was a sweaty dude on top of her 30 minutes before me. 3) Little bit of ego ie I can afford what they can't. 4) I like getting ready for the events, and also afterwards replaying it in my head.

Of course that isn't to say I don't go slumming once in a while....some days McDonald's hits the spot. But generally if I want something cheap/easy that I don't have to prepare for I'll just get a rub n tug.

I've had one high price experience that wasn't worth it and it was my own fault. All her reviews were PSE and that's not my thing. Call me old fashioned but I like to give a hug and say "how's your day been" before my dick is in your mouth.

There is another reason other providers want you to raise your rates. They want the clients you are getting.
They can and in many cases have THEIR self interest at heart -not your. To many providers feel their rate is their status. Many providers have high rates because they have another job or obligations and can only see an occasional client.  She can get away with a $1000/hr but if need to to support herself and others will most likely make a lot more after expenses at a much lower figure.

VIP should be high. Louis Vuitton does not offer discounts. If a provider offers services that are special request the rate is not going to be low. I am thinking of offering a non-VIP tribute for those who are not interested in top notch services. No GFE, No PSE, and that equals no high rates. You get what you pay for.

I have no idea what it really means but suspect it means different things to different people, like so many terms in the world like GFE, PSE. I suspect that to some people VIP even means BBFS.

Throwing in my 0.02c. I don't think the two ladies are commenting about your rates or your services. They are explaining the reasoning they use to come up with their own rates. None of their decisions should be a reflection on you. At the end of the day it's just business and everyone has different goals. Some ladies want to charge $1000/hr see maybe 2 clients a week and not work the other 5 days and be happy with $100k/yr. Others will give a BJ for $20 on Figueroa to support whatever habit they have.....and everything in between.

Higher rates usually mean better service, because a provider won't be around long if she charges premium rates and gives terrible service. That said, this doesn't mean you can't provide fantastic service at a lower rate. And if you do then that great and your clients are lucky to have you.

I own businesses in that are located in the ghettos of LA with poor customers, and businesses in Manhattan that serve the super wealthy, and everything in between. I'm not more proud of one or the other and I give all businesses the same effort and attention. I don't care about the status of my businesses, I only care if the money is worth my time.

Sidebar, nothing those ladies wrote should be construed as insults. If you perceive them as such it may actually be time for you to review your rates.

Sometimes VIP can mean Greek, sometimes VIP can mean a second pop during a hour long session, sometimes VIP can mean you actually get to DFK/LFK, sometimes VIP can mean you get to perform DATY or you just might get a BBBJ.  Sooo on top of the 500-700 you're probably already spending, throw in another 250 or whatever the "VIP" up-charge is and you might just get a traditional GFE session.

That's it for the math class today, my brain is fried...

I’ll pay for good service and professionalism.  I won’t pay just on looks alone.  That is why TER reviews are so important to me.   If I had my choice between a 10 in looks/8 in service vs. an 8 in looks/10 in service, I’d take the later every time.  I’ve read too many reviews where the provider was a bombshell, very expensive and delivered mediocre to poor sessions.
