this hasn't happened with a minx (yet), but in case it does ... what's the best procedure? (i'm assuming, "keep on pounding" is not an option for either side.)

i've heard the best thing is to withdraw, dry the tip, remove the condom, dry the shaft, and urinate if possible. yes, no?

what should the lady do, if anything?

What To Do If The Condom Breaks  (see link)

Women: Wash thoroughly and use a spermicidal jelly or foam. You should follow washing by urinating. There is morning-after birth control available. If you are concerned that you might become pregnant, you should not wait, but contact Planned Parenthood and ask about emergency contraception, which is actually a series of pills.

Men: Although washing the genitals has not proven an effective method for preventing STDs, if a condom breaks, you should nonetheless wash thoroughly and then urinate. If you suspect you might have contracted an STD, contact your doctor. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can call Planned Parenthood, which maintains clinics where medical services for family planning and treatment for STDs are available. You can obtain treatment for STDs without charge.

I'm on backup birth control... I get a shot once a month, so *that* really isn't a concern for me. Thank God!!!! :)

I would wash up, but not douche... from all I've read, doucheing usually does more harm than good. By all means if you are not on backup birth control (I honestly think you SHOULD be, but ok), call Planned Parenthood about emergency contraception.  I've taken it before (back in my *boyfriend* days) and it is really not a big deal... it's two pills, that's it. Costs about $30. It will start your period tho, no matter where you are in your cycle.

Planned Parenthood btw, does charge (at least, I never got anything for FREE there even when I was a broke college student), but they try to do it based on your income level. Of course you can always say you are broke, but I don't think most of us LOOK like your average homeless broke person, honestly! But their fees are minimal.

The next thing I would do is be calm and remember that the odds that I will have an HIV positive client on the ONE DAY a condom breaks on me, are lower than the odds that I'd get struck by lightening walking down the street.

Then I'd go get tested! For EVERYTHING. The odds are much higher that I'd pick up some annoying but curable lesser STD.

I think in the vast majority of broken condom cases, it happens long before any sperm is present... at least I know for myself, that has been the case... so one of the things you GUYS can do is pay attention to it and make sure, especially when changing positions and stuff, that all is well with our lil' rubber lifesaver there! Take a peek :) Don't forget about SLIPPAGE. I know that at the end of things my lil' coochie has a tendency to suck those condoms right offa you! Hold on, and pull out. Hehe!

My final note... I don't know why but I think Magnum XL condoms are more prone to breaking.  I have never had a Kimono or Crown condom break, or a Trojan or Trojan large.

I broke them all the time, or got friction burned by them. I liked them because I liked the way the latex felt, but too much disconfort. I switched to that company's Beyond Seven brand (which I think I Japanese for Beyond Five, but I digress)-good fit and feel-different type of latex used.

Condoms are a very personal thing, you just have to keep trying them out until you find one you like. I'm currently using Durex Ultimate Feeling here-and some Aktell brands (Unikorn?) in Europe.

Great link.  Now if they can only get this case heard in an American courtroom they should get a windfall.  If McDonalds has to pay millions for making defective coffee just think what these guys can get. LOL!

Maybe I'm just grumpy 'cuz I just woke up, but... I cannot see anything funny about someone having an HIV positive baby. I get the point over the excessive lawsuits in the states, but darned if I can blame them... that is HORRIBLE.

All good points. But before urinating don't forget to get out of bed and into the bathroom first.

Both partners should wash thoroughly to reduce the risk of STD infection. If ejaculation has not yet occurred, simply remove the broken condom and replace it with another one. If the breakage is discovered after ejaculation, both partners should wash thoroughly to reduce the risk of STD infection. The safest and easiest thing to do is for the woman to immediately insert a full tube of spermicidal foam into the vagina, which may reduce the risk pregnancy. Women should not douche and should contact their health care provider or local pregnancy resource center to discuss your options and for information about pregnancy and STD testing.

Your only option is to marry the girl so you can raise your new family together.

But lets say she want to stay single and free then we both better do what the TERapist say.  1) pray; 2) visit a mental health professional

I know it might sound severe but after washing up whether the condom breaks or not (thank god it has only happened once) I put hand sanitizer on my fingers and stick them up there. It stung the first couple of times but since I have started doing that I haven't had one bacterial infection which seemed to happen every time a client decided to lick both ways or finger...how did WW say it " the chocolate starfish" god now thats one I have never heard before LOL...I don't know if that would help prevent anything but doesn't seem like it could hurt....

Hand sanitizer is not necassarily a good thing to use internally, even if it has kept away bacterial infections.  Your body also produces "good" bacteria and if you continually kill it with the sanitizer, you are leaving yourself wide open for other various infections, including severe yeast infections.  I am not a doctor, but I am a LPN.  Just my .02

yes but I take a friendly flora bacterium with FOS, acidophilos and a host of other friendly flora as well as caprylic acid daily...has seemed to work so far and I drink alot of wine...Iam familiar with friendly bacteria and since I have started doing that I have uped my dose of friendly flora to the max...it's called primadolphilus and I have been taking it since my days as a dancer with far too tight g-strings and tights. It is a very good point that you make however as I would have not started that pratice without some counter measure. and I don't reccomend it as a regular habit to any one who doesn't do those extra things to keep the croth critters away.

This is getting outside my expertise, but any antiseptic taken "internally" in this way, particularly one that stings, may be damaging the mucosal membranes that line the vagina. This could actually facilitate microbial infections.

In the case of HIV, it was thought early on that the use of spermicides such as nonoxynol-9 would prevent AIDS viral infections. This seems logical, because nonoxynol-9 inactivates HIV in the test tube. However, nonxoynol-9 not only kills HIV, but it is also toxic to cells other than sperm; that stinging sensation is why most people don't like to use it. When  clinical studies were conducted on nonoxynol-9's effectiveness as an anti-HIV agent, they found that it slightly promoted transmission of the virus.

Ginger, I was good friends with an escort who had a nervous doctor as a client.  He wanted to continue seeing her, naturally, but was someone who always worried about infections.

The doc made the lady douche with a product called Betadyne (I believe) prior to seeing him.  You can buy it over the counter at the drugstore and it's often prescibed to people prior to surgery for killing surface bacteria etc.  I believe she diluted it before use (best read the bottle for different uses).  Since it's designed for this type of thing, and since my friend used it for a couple years without problems, I think you'd be much better trying it rather than hand sanitizer (ouch).

BTW, the doc died of a heart attack (he was old), so I guess he was worrying about the wrong part of his anatomy.

Haven't had one problem with miss flo since I started with the hand sanitizer thing...mostly because of all the supplements I take to promote healthy flora in the nether regions...not to mention the fact that it helps eliminate toxins and keeps the entire body running smoothly, kees your skin clear, breath and pussy fresh. Also I think that it hasn't been a problem because I am a very low volume provider so i just don't do it that often. I also provide dominance sessions and only use it externally for those appt's I also have  several regulars that aren't FS (their choice not mine) so i maybe apply the stuff once or twice a week and it has eliminated the infections I would get when finger penetration and/0r anal stimulation was involved...I was merely suggesting it in the case of a condom breaking something I hope doesnot happen that often, not for every day every encounter use which I did not make clear. I am familiar with betadine as well as it's nasty smell and ability to stain things beyond repair. It is also something I had to use when I got one of those nasty bacterial infections from sloppy client behavior directed at miss flo. I have had no problems whatsoever down there and have been using it regularly for over two years. I also have NO sex life outside of work and never have sex without a condom so I am not exposing myself to alot of things that many escorts and women in general do. It has worked for me but it is not something I would do or reccomend to any one that is getting really busy.
