There was recently a flurry of posts about safety on my local board relating to providers, STDs , BBBJ and safety.  And we've all cringed while reading posts about (dare I even type the letters at risk of a firestorm...) BBFS.

Well, this article seemed kind of timely about STD supber strains that are resistant to meds.  I've always been in the camp that says "everything covered."  I like to keep my shit tightly wrapped.  Reading this only makes me more so.

  - Here's an article from Tuesday on how superbugs will hit women harder than men: http://www.slate.com/articles/double_x/doublex/2011/10/clap_trap_why_an_antibiotic_resistant_gonorrhea_superbug_will_be.html

  - And here's one from July about the discovery of the bug:  http://slatest.slate.com/posts/2011/07/11/gonorrhea_superbug_japanese_researchers_find_h041_can_t_be_treat.html

  - And for those of you who prefer video, here's a little puff piece: http://www.slate.com/blogs/trending/2011/07/12/_gonorrhea_super_strain_doctors_warn_of_alarming_antibiotic_resi.html

Anyway, I figured I'd just toss this out there and see what people think.  It's in Japan.  Has it hit the west coast yet?  Any signs in the US at all?  When is it coming and how will providers and hobbyists react when it does?

You can catch herpes from kissing.

At least for me I've always thought the biggest risk was getting caught by the wife, at least that's the only one I've ever worried much about.....

I was just recently reading about outbreaks of antibiotic-resistant bacterial STDs in SF gay communities.  Unfortunately, I can't remember where I read it, and don't remember if it was a reliable source of news, so please take that with a grain of salt.

IMO, if it's in Japan, it'll be here damn soon.  Plenty of frequent business travelers, Japanese and American, frequently hook up with locals in both continents.

I think it's wrong the way TER appears to hold BBBJs up as a standard of service to be considered GFE or to receive a score higher than 7.  We ask these ladies to take so many risks to their safety and liberty, asking them to take this type of health risk if feel is reprehensible.  STDs are a serious public health hazard, TER has provided us with a means to be reasonably safe by providing references and reviews. I think they, WE, need to take a similar approach to these health issues.  Safety should be the highest priority in what we are trying to achieve here.

stop beting a fucking dead horse. TER Database is full of this topic so, give it up and shut up and let the rest enjoy as much sex in desired form desired by mutually consenting adults.

Thank you.
