In the narrow context of sex, yes they are more honest. You certainly have a no strings situation. Once most of the civilian girls give you their "special gift" they have expectations. Many times you find out later they don't even like sex.

Your application of the word honest is very specific here. Honest about what their occupation is when dealing with booking a client? I would say yes. They have to be if they want to get any business. Even then, there is a fair amount of subterfuge involved up until clothing comes off and money is exchanged.  Honest about how they go about conducting business?  Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I've been, for the most part, very fortunate in this hobby but you don't have to read too far here on TER to find stories about customers being ripped-off in one form or another. If we are going to talk about "socially acceptable" I would ask you how many prostitutes would put that occupation on a credit application or a tax form? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say none.  So really, how honest are they?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of women in this industry but "honesty" only goes so far.  Discretion is what keeps things rolling along smoothly.

 I have to say, I've always been a people person, and I still am... BUT. I've noticed, personally, fast money can corrupt a person. So can lots of (dishonest) sex. Being discreet, hiding from suspicious people, having a different name than your own, having a system for someone to meet you in a hotel room or a discreet place because one (or two) are married, lying to your family about what you do for a living just so you can make a living? Getting surgery (haven't done that yet, but I'm sure one day...) to look like a different person, on and on and on...  
   
 I love this life, but I hope never to forget who I am and who the person is walking through the door.  
   
 While some hobbyists pry for information, I have control on what's appropriate and not appropriate to tell someone I'm providing for. Just like in real life. Not revealing information isn't lying... BUT...
