What has been implemented is a version of the "Nordic Model", which has become popular in Europe and is being touted as a way to eliminate sex trafficking and prostitution. Everyone knows this is not the case and will never happen. As long as morality continues to be policed we will continue to have to deal with this nonsense. What does this mean to you? As we have seen happening stings will continue to no longer be focused on arresting sex workers, they will be focused on arresting clients. Due your research on the provider you wish to see. No one should be criminalized for consenting adults engaging with other consenting adults, but until all consensual sex work is decriminalized our focus needs to continue to be on keeping the industry as safe as possible for everyone involved.

This does nothing but flip the burden of criminal culpability from seller to buyer. And it won't stop a single P4P transaction.  Way to go Maine; leading the nation once again, this time on a march backwards.
