I'll grant you that Chevy wasn't at his best on that first season of SNL, but he doesn't belong in this conversation!  Horatio Sanz isn't the worst cast member (not by a long shot) of all time, but I can't say the show will miss him.

That Ford/Carter debate sketch with Dan Ackroyd was a classic. Chase was good at doing Ford. lol

Everybody's entitled to their opinion, of course. I don't place Chevy Chase in my top ten list of comedians.... but to say he has no talent at all? That's just crazy. He PERFECTED weekend update (Hi, I'm Chevy Chase, and You're not...)and his pratfalls were over the top. As a writer AND a performer, he had a hand in many of the top skits they ever did (the word association interview with Richard Pryor has to be in the hall of fame). Before SNL, he was funny in "Groove Tube", and after SNL he did a good job in "Caddyshack", "Fletch", and "Seems Like Old Times".

Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtin, Lorraine Newman, and Gilda Radner. That's SNL. Many other good and even great performers have led the cast over the years, but nothing compares with the first few seasons.

It's surprising how accomplished most of them became.  

And I'd say Chevy Chase was better at the news than Jane Curtain-- but she did a decent job.

Eddie Murphy, was one of the BEST!  I liked him the most as Mr Robinson (an off the wall Mr Rogers)
Adam Shandler and the lunch lady, what a blast!!

She is leaving for the sitcom "30 Rock".  I won't miss her.

Looks like there will be an overhaul!

Along with Sanz, Keenan Thompson, Chris Parnell, Tina Fey and Rachel Dratch are leaving.  And it isn't definite that Darrell Hammond will be back.  I think Hammond is the most talented one in the current cast so if they lose him, it will be pretty dull.  But he's been there since 1995 so I think it's time for him to move on.

Thanks to him, Talladega Nights will probably do for NASCAR what Driven did for CART.  Only I won't care as much because I'm sick of NASCAR

that show hasn't been funny since the first George Bush was president. not sure how it has stayed on the air this long.

...Belushi,Ackroyd & co. were very good as were Hartman, Myers, Carvey & co.  There have been others that were hilarious, too.
