So it happened with a street walker and you have no STD's? I hope you've been tested regularly.

It takes six months to a year for HIV to show up SOMETIMES. Protocol is immediate testing, then weekly testing, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, then back to a year in those cases. Not just "I'll get tested in a couple days. If I'm fine, I don't have to until the next condom breaks."

Seriously, I've dated guys who have said they have been tested and are clean. I asked, "How long has it Ben since you were tested?" They said, "six months ago." "How many people have you has sex with since unprotected?" "I dunno, ten?" (Which usually means 30.)

People are naive to think they're 100% VD free if they get tested once but continue to have careless, unsafe practices.  

As far as the pregnancy concern, you should have forked it all over and paid for her time to go get it since it's your stupid mistake.

HIV RNA pcr is as quick as 11 days.

Not sure how accurate it is though. They claim their test shows traces within 6 days and detects most exposures by 11th day.  

Also the thing some people dont realize is that there are lessor known and possibly brand new STDs that can be spread aside from the popular ones we test for on full panel tests.

RNA test is more expensive obviously, but quicker.
