If it's a first time blind date, it would have to be paid for. However if it's with a regular client, a nice but not too long dinner off the meter would be great. If I really like the client, I would cook dinner!

and the session was at about 1/2 off!  I think that she would  have made it free, but she wanted to be sure that I understood it was a Biz din-din... she is a sweetie...

Others have offered stuff off the clock... and I think it means that they enjoy my company - and they are aware that I enjoy their's as well... and that is truly nice and ALWAYS appreciated.
