wrong numbers.

Here's an article about how a wrong number can get you into trouble.

As we use texts a lot in our communication with one another, this is a good reminder to be extra careful about what buttons you push and blinking twice then looking at that number again.

Ironically, I had an incident last night with a phone call.  I'm seeing a gal this coming weekend and when I answered the phone the voice sounded like hers, so I started to talk about the upcoming weekend when the gal said "Is this ___?  I said no, and she apologized for having the wrong number.  It's a good thing I hadn't gotten to anything X rated yet.

It's a dangerous world out there.

That's funny.  Just the other day I got a call from a number I didn't recognize.  I thought it could possibly be a client but I let it go to voicemail.  When I listened to the message, it was a woman setting up a drug buy with her dealer.  Oy vey!

Cheers,
Stella

This reminds me of the website...http://damnyouautocorrect.com/

It's always wise to never ever say anything over the phone/text  etc that can bite you in the butt!

We have all done it.....

With all the Celebrities and Politicians getting in trouble for sexual scandals mostly based on bad use of communication tools just as leaving nasty Voice Mails, Texting/Sexting etc, its certainly important to be very careful when communicating with my clients.  Discretion is so important and I would hate for either one of us to get caught up in a risky situation.

I've always wondered why the people that complain about auto correct so much don't just turn it off. Isn't that possible? I don't use devices that have it so I don't really know but we control the devices. They shouldn't control us.

The number on my business line is recycled, and was apparently owned previously by someone with Indian friends or family. I get calls from overseas clients for bookings, so I always answer when it's a +011 number, but sometimes I get an earful of gibberish.

I suppose if I were a savvy business woman, I'd learn how to ask these guys if they're visiting Toronto and if they'd like to book!

Ha, happened to me once, I had written down a couple of the digits wrong.

Of course adding to the confusion, the person I randomly called was a woman with a pleasant sexy voice. After some vague questions and confusion, I explained I saw her "thing on the internet" and she said "Nooooo. Not me.", ha but she did seem cool. She said it was the second time somebody had called her about that kind of thing, and she said "good luck". Somewhat sarcastically I'd imagine, but it was still a pretty funny one, could've been a lot worse, was fine.
