methods like this don't do much for showing  the boards have integrity behind them or showing that moderating is serious, reasonable, fair and impartial.

It makes it seem like its all one big joke, IMHO.

For the rest of today, anyone posting on a particular board who is not a complete asshat will be unmoderated.  I'm just not going to tell you which board it is.  I'll pick a different board each day until I lose interest.

The mods could put out a boring message to members that they are able to be unmoderated upon request if they qualify OR they can try to make it fun.  I, for one, appreciate the effort to make it fun.

Last I checked, the job is to keep the board active within acceptable tolerances.  I don't recall holding court being in the job description.  Not sure what post you're referring to since you have 2 posts this week and both are approved and on this thread.

Just curious what you'd think about a moderator that was a lawyer?
