OK, here's my theory how these came about....

A candy company, looking for new molds with which to open a new marketing front, bought out the stock of a plastic molding company that made dildos for little people (non-politically correct term: midgets.)

When they came upon these molds, they figured that everyone love lighthouses, so why not?
