Just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention.

On the other hand, I had a great local brewpub's India Pale last night and it was great.

Comments on beer? (likes, dislikes, recommendations)

And no, I'm not going to say sex (even if it's what I believe!).

French cider is a lovely drink. Unlike English cider (which I happen to like but is considered a quite downmarket drink in the UK), Normandy cider actually tastes of apples.  It's nowhere near as gassy as many beers.  And it's refreshing on a hot summer's day....

If you ever get the chance, give it a try!

Stop dissing Cider. It's all I drink in Blighty!

Belgian Beer when I'm there!

Sully, I'm certainly not dissing it at all, I love it!  I'm just always teased about not having grown out of it as it's usually what kids start drinking when they start trying alcohol at about 14 years old lol

How about that Scrumpy Cider?   Better said with a thick devon accent!

you were lucky!  We had to wake up 2 hours before we went to bed to lick the road clean....

I do a better Yorkshireman , by gum

at least our shoe box came from H A Rods :)

Guinness on top of Bass. Two pints, and two Scottish eggs with dijon, and I feel properly medicated.

you can't see light through the bottle and if you pour you'll a pair of snips to cut it off when the mug is filled.   It's an awsome stout...

I've been a 'nothing but beer' guy for umpteen years. Went to 'old Blighty' for the first time a year and a half ago. At
the local, I decided I'd work my way down the dozen or so draft taps one at a time. The third or fourth brand I tried - well, as
soon as the mug got near my nose, I knew it wasn't beer or ale -English hard cider.
I'd had American hard cider as a kid, and that stuff isn't too far removed from vinegar. On my return to the US, I found that Gallo bottles 'Hornsby's English Cider' here. Now, the only beer I drink is when I'm somewhere that doesn't have anything else.

I really like beer too and generally it’s the only type of alcohol I do drink. I like the microbreweries with beers such as Anchor Steam Beer, Samuel Adams and other
beers like St. Pauli Girl, Rolllng Rock and of course on draft Guinness.  Nothing like kicking back with a fine cigar and a good beer after a hadd days work.

I don't like beer...

I also enjoy a good white wine.

Off the top of my head, a few great restaurants that brew their own. Very good Pale Ale at each one of these.
