I was sitting in the hot tub last evening, watching a thin sliver of moon in a cobalt sky with a rose tint at the horizon lingering from the sunset just moments before. There was a cool breeze blowing from over the mountains, and I was enjoying a new wine I was trying for the first time while the faint buzz from an herbal therapy lingered. The jacuzzi was on whisper mode, so I could hear the birds as they whistled their goodnight songs. The owl who lives in the big pine tree spread his massive wings to take off silently to seek his unsuspecting supper. I kicked the jets into full force, because my muscles, aching from a day of water skiing, needed everything they could deliver. I was thinking what a great day this was, and how lucky I am, and how there was only one thing that could make this any more perfect. But alas, that will have to wait. Perhaps until Friday? But then again, sometimes anticipation is the most perfect pleasure there is. Hope you all had a great day too.

I had a similar epiphany the other night while I lay in my hammock. It was such a warm evening, and the night was quiet, and there was the slightest breeze, the stars were out and all seemed right with the world. It's those little epiphanies that make life so precious and wonderful. It's noticing how lucky we are that creates more beauty and luck for us. Ain't life grand?! Driving down the traffic free 5 just a little bit of sun breaking through the clouds and lighting the lagoon.  "Creep" playing on the radio.  ::sigh::  Yeah, I feel lucky.

Yep, I often reflect on how wonderful some things are..and feel thankful EVERY day..
