I was out with a lady the other day having lunch, and as she was choosing from the menu, she said "hmmm, can't have that" and so on. Curious, I asked why.

She explained that certain things affect the area down there.

So...do you have to be careful about what you eat? What kinds of foods do you avoid? I had never thought about it.

What's the point of a nice dinner if you can't even eat what you want for fear of how it might affect you, later? Bread, Pasta, Olive Oil, etc. are things I would have to avoid because they make me bloated, and I won't have sex bloated. I really don't see how so many can go eat carbs and drink a bunch of alcohol, then perform. I would be taking a damn nap. I would also assume Mexican is a no no lol. Again, the very reason I do dinner after sex...never before.

I found out about 2 years ago, that I have a Gluten allergy and so I have to avoid wheat, barley, anything with gluten in it..Also, the worst allergy was found out quite by accident... but in 2009 I had a cat-scan done... they insert IODINE into your iv to make things in your body glow, for the xray or viewing...    I went home and immediately began itching EVERYWHERE!!!!

I took like 10 benedryl LOL    The next morning, looking in the mirror, I kept poking my cheek, as it looked a bit puffy...

I had red splotches everywhere...Called the hospital, they said sounds like I am allergic to IODINE.

I may never have ever had a issue, but when you get it in a large dosage, then have a reaction, from there on out, even the smallest exposure to iodine can recreate a allergic reaction/throat swelling shut.

SO from that moment on, I was no longer able to eat my FAVORITE seafood, any shellfish was out :(

The nurse did say, it was smart to take so many benedryls... If I had not, my throat could have shut up on me...

Excerpt:

Nausea, bloating, flatulence, cramps, bitter taste, and diarrhea have been reported.

The color of urine may become more "intense" (further details are lacking).

Folic acid may mask the symptoms of pernicious, aplastic, or normocytic anemias caused by vitamin B12 deficiency and may lead to neurological damage.

Irritability, excitability, general malaise, altered sleep patterns, vivid dreaming, overactivity, confusion, impaired judgment, increased seizure frequency, and psychotic behavior have been reported. Very high doses may cause significant central nervous system (CNS) side effects. Supplemental folic acid might increase seizures in people with seizure disorders, particularly in very high doses.

eat pasta, bread, mexican (unless corn tortillas) etc...

But if I did not have those issues, I prefer to have some play time first anyways, then take a break, have dinner and what not, then come back and go again

There are certain foods - like yogurt, cranberry juice, etc that can effect the natural "flora" and/or pH "down there" so maybe she was refering to something like that?
The only other possible "effect" I am aware of is there may be a difference in "taste"  "down there" between a lady who primarily eats lots of fruits and vegetables vs. one who consumes a lot of red meat; the former are better, IMHO.

about 4 years or so ago, I started getting EXTREMELY painful cramps after eating one... EVERY time! It hurt REALLY bad...

Finally, after a hour orso, it would subside, but this ONLY happens when I eat bananas

Lets seee, this goes with my Glutton allergy, but instant oatmeal too, it makes me LITERALLY VOMIT  almost RIGHT after I finish eating it...

I can not keep it down at all!!! If I drink TOO MUCH COFFEE! I get sick to my stomach especially if I have had like sausages...

I think that's all I can think of right now lol

I'm not a nutritionist or dietician, so I wouldn't be able to tell you which food has the highest amount of folate.

Rich sources of folate include spinach, dark leafy greens, asparagus, turnip, beets, and mustard greens, Brussels sprouts, lima beans, soybeans, beef liver, brewer's yeast, root vegetables, whole grains, wheat germ, bulgur wheat, kidney beans, white beans, lima beans, mung beans, salmon, orange juice, avocado, and milk. In addition, all grain and cereal products in the U.S. are fortified with folic acid.

I tried looking up a ballpark estimate for the amount of folate in these foods.

A half cup of cooked broccoli contains about 50mcg of folate, and 3oz of salmon contains about 25mcg of folate.

The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for folate is 400mcg.

Always consult with your doctor!

Women of childbearing age
All women capable of becoming pregnant should obtain adequate amounts of folate to reduce the risk of NTDs and other birth defects. Unfortunately, some women of childbearing age obtain insufficient folate even when intakes from both food and dietary supplements are included [16]. Women of childbearing age should obtain 400 mcg/day of folic acid from dietary supplements and/or fortified foods in addition to the folate present in a varied diet [2].

Pregnant women
During pregnancy, demands for folate increase due to its role in nucleic acid synthesis [20]. To accommodate this need, the FNB increased the folate RDA from 400 mcg/day for nonpregnant women to 600 mcg/day during pregnancy [2]. This level of intake might be difficult for many women to achieve through diet alone. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends a prenatal vitamin supplement for most pregnant women to ensure that they obtain adequate amounts of folic acid and other nutrients [23].

While not a dietician or nutritionist, folic acid (folate, B9) is actually a very good and important part of a diet, and I think you may be mis-reading this: these are the 'worst case' symptoms of someone who is allergic or intolerant of folate, which seems pretty rare.   Compare the Mayo clinic page on B12 or vitamin C, which have similar dire warnings.

Things that are high in folate / folic acid are generally REALLY good for you and should NOT be avoided.  Don't pop folic acid supplements like pez, but DO eat lots of dark leafy vegetables and things high in folate.

and makes the event less fun for me.  Ideally, I like to have fun, then eat a light meal - with maybe a glass of wine - a quiet  walk back to the hotel,  followed by round 2 or so.  Just everything works better that way.  Tried the meal first, on a couple of occasions, and it does not seem to work as well.

Anything that is heavy with cheese.

No ice cream or other heavy milk based products.

Nothing spicy.

Lactose intolerant and with spicy I get horrible heartburn.

I am sure she was just being considerate so she could give you a great experience.

No, actually foods like yogurt & cranberry juice can help keep things "down there" normal... yogurt keeps the bad bacteria from over-growing & cranberry juice keeps UTI's at bay, as it keeps the bad bacteria from "sticking" to the inside walls of the bladder..which cause UTI's/bladder infections.

I do know that certain foods, such as onion, especially if you eat it a lot, the odor can actually start to emit from "down there"... as well as other types of food that are strong in nature.

Will make me tired n drag n do a shitty appt.
I have canceled appts over times where I lost my self control and have into sugar or take out cravings then knew I d be awful at fucking.
I also have gone thru periods where i gave in to cravings n then in turn slacked on work outs and felt my performance was becoming poor do to this, and not feeling I deserved the higher rate I'd been chargin I d lower it knowing, I just wasn't up to hard core pse n Greek and bein bounced all over the place n goin bananas.
     But.
That's just me,
Raw onions . Even day after I won't want to have any one any where near my face n will be all kinda paranoid .
Garlic, must avoid and I always say no croutons since all croutons have garlic.
Runnin around not havn groceries n eatin take out at all too can make me sluggish n not in mood .
My best file for doin appts is egg white omelette s w veggies in am, shakes w spinach in them or raw veggies or fruit and yogurt for snacks, and just grilled chicken veggies n steak n fish no butter no oil.
I get goriest when I eat super healthy no heavy junk.
The worst thing for my sex drive is say eatin a gross huge plate from Boston market n then a cookie after, I will wanna lay down, have to lay down n will be dragging.
Salt too n too much carbs ,make me feel puffy and I won't be as confident or rambunctious in the sack.
For me what I eat effects me really really bad.
When. I went to attempt a ny tour I ate salty all carbs Chinese food n thought I d be ok, I felt so groos next day I didn't even work I went n got a ninety min massage n went n took a yoga class n took day off,
I d rather take a day n off n not waste some guys money n be a drag if I know I feel sluggish or bloated or whatever than go do an appt any way and not only not enjoy it but probly do a suck ass job too,

Yes, vitamin B9 is an essential part of one's diet.
As long as you aren't exceeding the RDA of 400mcg, you should be fine.
Although you should always consult with a professional since every body is different and people have different tolerance levels.
