My town Tampa Has a Passion for busting both providers and us when they have the chance. Normally only when a big convention is in town. But screening is way over rated. Common sense ,I know it does not exist, but it does come in handy.
I am piss off. I am very pissed off because of the stupidity of the ladies I choose to befriend. A very good friend of mine just got busted. Why did she get busted? Because she is stupid. Why is she stupid? Because she failed to screen.
I have spent hours teaching her how to screen as when I first met her she was new. So it was not she was ignorant on how to get and check employment and/or references. I showed her several blacklist sites to check. I showed her how to run back ground checks, reverse look up email address, physical addresses and phone numbers. How to get the must information out of the web. So I know she knew how to stay safe. So it wasn't ignorance.
Why do some people fail to screen. This is the fourth lady I was close to that got hurt because of their own damn stupidity. She was going to quit in six weeks after she got her nurses degree. She will have a real hard time finding work with a fresh conviction over head if she can even get licensed as I know you can loose your licence for prostitution.
Why do I make friends with the stupid ones? I am tired of watching friends get hurt in this game. Just plain tired. Maybe I should give up caring and just find'em, f*ck'em and forget'em like many here. Then I wouldn't care when they end up busted or hurt, but that isn't me that just isn't me.
Don't be stupid like my friend. Please screen. I know to many here I am preaching to the choir as many here screen. I thought my friend did too. There are bad people and LE on both sides of the isle. Everyone please screen everyone else. I tire of comforting people that need comforting because they are stupid. Screen each and every time as I really don't want to hear anther sob story that starts "He/She sounded nice so I took a chance." After seeing more then one friend get burned, it gets old, fast.

She probably got busted because of laziness rather than stupidity. Don't be angry at yourself -- it wasn't your fault.
As for me, I use to in the past. But, it became personal, and I didn't want things to become personal. So, now, if they want to talk and all that good stuff outside the hobby and be closer, I ignore them and find a different path. I don't get involved in those things no more with provider, it's just too much to deal with.
Now, I just fuck them and move on. I don't want to talk to them afterwards. It's better that way. Don't get involved in their personal business. It's good that you are showing them the ropes and all, but move on after that, otherwise you'll get attached.

I know it is no consolation, but the reason people keep on doing stupid things is that you can't fix stupid.
I see this reified on a day to day basis at work and the news.
I'm glad you unleashed this rant however for the benefit of those who are able and willing to learn.
when I saw things in an ad which were a dead give away. But I have had to acceptthe they are adults (often mature adults) and have the right to run their lives as they see fit. I may disagree with their choices. It is only my decision whether to spend time with them or not.

Sorry, but that is the plain truth.
Girls who ask for advice or who you're inclined to give it to are usually the ones the least likely to actually use it. Most of it is a waste of breath unless you have a sense that you're dealing with someone who truly wants to better themselves or avoid trouble.
Don't take it or make it personal because someone else's failures are not about you.

Although I'm not a resident, my username indicates that I'm familiar with Utah. It's no secret that it's a VERY religious place with sexually oppressive values. That being said, I don't want to trivialize the importance of screening, especially in such a prudish place like Utah. In the beehive state, screening is more important than ever!

You may not have been able to help the lady in question, but this message definitely serves as a reminder to all of us just how important screening is.
I think us providers always need always keep both our egos and our finances in check at all times. If we become too confident, telling ourselves that "it won't happen to us" as far as LE or violence is concerned, we can get ourselves into some serious trouble. Same goes for being short sighted and only considering potential financial benefits.
So again, I thank you for this reminder. You may not have saved who you intended to save, but you surely saved some other providers who read this.
I do appreciate a person like you who advice providers for safety.
I guess the providers who don't screen are...
1)desperate for the business
2)time pressure (for example, the client ask last minutes appointment without any real verification)
3)lazy
For me, it is no way to risk my entire life and identity for money. I do screen well and sometimes hire a screen-er/booker if I am busy, but still make a good business.
