It's simply a question of not wasting time. The TER reviews give me more than enough information, along with a phone call or 2 with the provider, to understand my comfort level with her. Then I take the plunge, as it were.
I have actually had 2 dates this past month with SP's recommended by another hobbyist. Both girls had no Internet presence and were "flying under the radar". Both were sub-standard,
First of all, thank you TER for hosting such a great site! Now here’s a question to the fellow hobbyists who are members. How many of you visit SPs that have never been reviewed on TER? I ask because if everyone was like me (I only consider visiting providers who have been reviewed on TER) there would never be new SPs added to the TER files. For those of you who do visit un-reviewed providers, how often do you visit new providers?
More than half the girls I see for the first time are unreviewed. I guess I like the thrill of the unknown. I've seen some I'd never see again, and others I'd see every day if I could. Fortunately, I haven't been burned or ripped off for a long time (since way before there was an Internet).
As for how often, I usually only see a new Provider, reviewed or not, if I'm thinking about rotating in a new "regular" girl. Either that, or someone really "hot" comes along that gets my attention.
The one I didn't rejected outright consumed approximately 3% to 5% of my spending in this hobby. About 67% of them are B&Ss or ROBs.

I use the TER as a screening process if she has a bad review or no reviews I proceed with caution "no lifeguard your duty" I then go through my own screening process, e-mail and call, if all looks good I proceed ... but I have said no way, or sorry not interested after a date has been set ... I have no problems turning someone away at my hotel room door ..... hobby safe, hobby well, hobby all you can be..... to answer your question about 30% .....

I have seen only reviewed providers. Doesn't mean I wouldn't see one that had not been reviewed, but I would have to have a really good vibe about her. There are so many providers that have been reviewed and are good to their clients that I would need a real good reason to be OK with wasting my cash....which one has to be able to do to see someone that has not been reviewed.

As much as this hobby costs, I like to know what I'm getting myself into. I don't think I would've indulged without the infomation I've found on the boards.
When I first started I didn't know about the resources available and was fortunate to have only one poor experience, but later found out about this girl was a well known upseller. Every now and then I will see someone that interests me and I will cautiously take the chance. My only other bad experience was my own dumb fault.
About 25% of the time. I don't live in one of the big cities with plenty of reviews, and very few girls are reviewed, so I'm frequently the first reviewer. I started with a terrible agency and so took a few for the team, but I've managed to find a really good one (agency) so even when I see one of their new ladies, I am seldom disappointed. The rest of the time I see girls that I really like.
I just can't resist discovering new girls. So many girls, so little time!
I have long preferred to do my own research. This business of human relations is a highly personalized one, hence it's not YMMV for nothing. When traveling or when strapped for time, I do appreciate the work of others, but I prefer to explore on my own and not rely on the research of others, unless when absolutely necessary.
I may visit without a review, but never without research first on TER. Sure, there are times when new ground must be broken, but even a simple question to the discussion board prior to the visit can reveal information about the provider.
Yes..absolutely..and one can also be resourceful..good points..

Personally I have found that many ladies out there that I see have not been reviewed on TER. In fact often while making the appointment she will request that no reviews be posted, and I am finding that more and more girls do not want reviews. Therefore there are a lot of hidden jewels out there that you guys are missing out on.
Not that I'm claiming myself a jewel, but that I keep my reviews (and photos, for that matter) under wraps, where I can control who is reading them (i.e. *not* LE), and parse them out on a "need to know" basis. I do this for my own sake, as well as my clients'. I don't alter my photos or reviews a bit, and they vary anywhere from "not very graphic" to "whoa! graphic," but I tend to use ones that are middle of the road. My reviewers are pretty well known gents that are happy to back up their comments with a quick email, if needed.
I just never liked the idea of having my sex life written out in black and white for anyone in the world to see. When it comes to myself, "what goes on behind closed doors, stays behind closed doors." I realize that goes against the grain of things here, but there are plenty of others out there that are willing to lay it all out there on display; just not me. I guess I tend to "make up for it" by providing private reviews, and I always meet a gent face to face over coffee or a dutch lunch so he (we) can check me (each other) out first. So far, it's been working for me, I've never had anyone turn down a full appointment, no one is privvy to my most intimate secrets, and I'm not getting stupidly disgusting emails from psychos! ;^)

I have seen providers that have been reccomended to me from other providers. I saw someone that does not want any posting on TER, She feels it would be to high profile. Most of the providers I have seen have been good about reccomending friends. Rember not everyone wants the attention.
