an announcement that you are touring?

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me...but sometimes people have an agenda that I clearly don't understand.

But...if you're suggesting that you indeed "delete" every guys personal data..only keep his "first" name and some anonymous email...then I get it :)

Unfrotunately that doesn't seem to be the norm :(

I encourage some traveling gals to notify me well in advance of their tour so i can be certain to keep the date open.

Others obviously will either not want the email or won't want you to keep records of their email on your computer.

She also killed her business and I think she's now quit escorting- all by hitting "send."

This girl was smart and computer savvy, but she just had a brain fade moment when she was in a hurry and listed us as "cc" addresses instead of "bcc."  All her clients were revealed to each other, and somehow the list got picked up by an anti-prostituition website that published them.  Since my email is my real name, I wasn't too happy about this.  But a couple attorneys were outed using their business email!  Just FYI, I had made my initial contact with her using a generic Hotmail account, but I got sloppy on a second visit and used my main email account.

So my point is, be super careful if you decide to do this and make sure it's absolutely OK with you clients to be on your mailing list.  This girl literally put herself out of business in less time than it takes to read this sentence.

They tell clients to email before filling out the form to see if the date and time they have in mind works for both of them.

Glad you liked their idea.

I like to travel to other cities near my hometown.  Until it shut down, I always used escorts.com to announce my tours (and most of my reviews were there too).  Since it shut down I've used Backpage to let previous EDC clients know that I'm in town as I have found that many old EDC members do not look at the ads here or the other national site(s).

I have never contacted clients unsolicited.  I obviously don't call or text them, but I also don't email them unless they email me first.  But I am wondering if I should start sending out "I'm touring your area soon" emails to past clients, especially those that I knew through EDC.  Would that be inappropriate, or would it make me appear desperate?  I would only contact people who had already contacted me first, and I would not send anything to any company ("real" work) email addresses.

Your thoughts (both hobbyists and providers) please?

You need to have your own site
and  create a newsletter or the like on your site.

Since all who sign up for the newsletter are in effect saying to you, send me an email any time  you want.
that way you can send that type of email to all who sign up for the newsletter.

Thank you

At least you are admitting that you do...so then once you contact the "guys" you will have put them on notice that their personal info is not "destroyed".  And honestly, most fellas know that this is always out there and available...but there are still a couple of newbies that believe the "other gals" when told it is destroyed :)

And to answer your OP...sure, send me an email.  If I saw you once and didn't contact you again, maybe a well written email may prompt me to revisit.

and even some ladies that I never met, but maybe chatted on TER or something, I give them my email and tell them to contact me if they are coming my way. So in that case I wouldn't mind at all getting an email. Not sure about unsolicited, out of the blue emails though. Some guys would probably appreciate it. Some might not. (Especially those who may not have a "hobby" email account)

I guess it would be okay and not sound desperate, if they are your previous clients, or people who previously contacted you, and you avoid company emails as stated. You could just send a short greeting, "I will be returning to your area from xxx to xxx." You might even put a small disclaimer, "I apologize if you received this email in error" or something like that. And yes, definitely use the bcc feature! :)

I personally want the ladies to keep my email address. Normally, the only thing they have from me is my first name and email address anyway. So if I use them as a reference, in the future, or if I contact them for another date in the future, I assume that is how they know me. My first name and my email. If you destroy all my information, when I contact you again down the road, I will have to start from scratch like a stranger, and go through screening again.

Another way to do it is to ask past clients if they'd like to be notified when you tour their area and put those names on a list.  A provider I know has a "newsletter" about her availability she sends out to people who want to be on her distribution list.

I have a list of places I advertise and am not keen to saving emails or numbers ANYWHERE! No way I could announce anything even if I wanted to, because I have no clue who you are after we meet. If you need a reference, you have to tell the lady which city and hotel you saw me at including what I wore, and something that would remind me as to who you are. I have a lot of friends who utilize mailing lists, but I don't feel the need for them. I work as a provider at MOST 8-10 days a month, and advertise enough for guys to find me. I won't chase a man in the civie world, and I sure as hell am not chasing one here.

I have found the number one complaint among hobbyists other than bait and switch and sloppy service, is women who send unsolicited mail asking for dates. The old, "Hi, just seeing how you were and letting you know I will be in town," only translates to "Hi, I need business." UNLESS the guy has specifically asked you alert him when you're in town, it is not received very well.

Men don't pay us for sex, they pay us to go away. Period, end of story.

How does one get personal info on someone they haven't seen anyway (or at the very least screened but schedules kept them from meeting as originally planned)?

Since she had previously met the gents, it makes sense that she'd keep whatever info she wants and then email them to announce a tour (assuming this had been discussed and agreed to at some point).

Personally, I keep a name and whatever email he wants me to use and yes, I do give my known friends a head's up when I'm coming through town again.  This gives them priority booking and is why most of my trips are half booked before I even announce them, and usually fully booked 3-4 weeks from arrival.  I do disagree with the broadcast email concept though. Simply too many potential issues if it's done poorly.  Besides, it's not as if it's all that hard to write a personal note to each individual.  That seems merely an extension of the manners we were taught in grade school....

which if you read my post that is all I was indeed suggesting.

Many (especially new guys) thought that their "personal info" was destroyed and have been inquiring of this for years on these boards.  But the OP suggested that she does indeed keep this info so she can develop a "marketing" list for future tours.

No problems...we all now understand what is being maintained out there...or at least till the next time the topic comes up for consideration.

I have NO problems with a gal keeping MY personal info for whatever reasons she deems important.  Frankly, I assume that she will and does...and I haven't been disappointed yet.

As others have pointed out its obvious that providers maintain some form of historical data in order to give out references, or even perhaps remember a client. I maintain a first name, email and phone number only. That way if a client wants to start fresh, he need only get a new hobby phone, and a new email. But thats the minimum information a provider will also need to give me to get a reference. That information NEVER resides on my website, and is not available on a public web device of any kind.

I am almost finished with my new website and while working on it pondered what to do in order to satisfy the security of my clients and myself when designing it. Lets be frank and honest, a provider needs to screen just as a client needs to do his research. In addition the contact has to be friendly and easy and as reasonable as the two parties will mutually agree to. I tell prospective clients exactly what is required of them on my website. I provide a contact form for them or they can simply email me. I also suggest that they consider emailing me in advance just to see if the date and time they have in mind even works for us. There is no need to gather contact information if the reality of meeting is not possible.

What I did do was bypass the sites database so that even if they fill out the form the information is not kept. Its not that difficult to do and it keeps the clients information of the world wide web other than the email the contact form sends. Its my feeling most will not use the contact form but as long as I was spending the time to build the site, I elected to have both options.

I also have an opt-in email list module but have not elected to activate it. I agree with a post further down by EC that a few personal emails are far better than a mass mailing. Since my website will no longer be public it requires a non-screening registration so implementing the mail list would be easy, but I still feel its an intrusion.

Just My 2 cents

Glad to see you back here...whether you know it or not your insightful and articulate posts have always been a reason many...and I mean many of the guys enjoyed the GD discussions (and I might add the EC has that same effect on the boards).

The way you and EC discuss the obvious is NOT the norm.  Just find a few threads like this and more often than not the "ladies" will denounce time and time again the maintenance of ANY personal data.  This type of disingenuous posting is what causes the misconception by the guys (at least those that didn't know otherwise) that in the event of a gal's getting "busted", that this info is out there.

As always..play safe and stay smart!

I agree with you that guys hate it when girls actively solicit appointments in the "hey my rent is due, so can you see me" type of fashion.  I will NEVER do something like that.

But I guess I'm differentiating that from a "I'm coming to your town soon, please just let me know if you would like to reserve a time" approach.  I think this is a much softer sell, as it were, and perhaps that makes it okay?

What say you, hobbyists?

It's rather easy...date-check, 411, or no one I have not seen in the past 3 months. Not every provider is banging 10 guys a week every week, and has no need to keep a record because she either will remember or that ref won't be given. I have had a ton of ladies just send me an email and phone number saying, "He said he saw you 9 months ago, do you remember?" My answer is NO!

I do not even have emails or phone numbers from guys I have seen several times...ask them lol. When I got banned off another board, I actually had to have a friend send out a mass mailer saying "London has no way to contact you, so if you want to keep in touch you will have to contact her. I used the PM system and stored nothing. Granted, unless you do a "wipe drive" the info. is on your PC somewhere but it's not in my inbox or in my phone. Why? Because I am not an idiot. If I were to ever get busted...heaven forbid, that's the first thing cops go for to barter. No info. nothing to barter with.

I have been wondering about that.

Wouldn't it be bad for her to keep your email info, say, if she's being watched, and/or her IP address has been compromised by LE for some/any reason, whether she could "control" that reason or not? How about if the woman changes computers, and throws hers away and it winds up in somebody's hands who can get info off the hard drive and use it for.........?

I'm just wondering if that could become an issue.

I apologize for my ignorance.

Guys are here because they can decide when and if they want to see us, not the other way around. Just my opinion of course, but I find it tacky to send an email out if it was not asked for when a lady visits.

If you're paranoid enough, get a vpn service which can make your IP address look like it's coming from a totally different location.  So before you do any hobbying related stuff, you log into your vpn service, log into your anonymous email account, and if your email records the IP you're using, it goes some Uganda or some other place your vpn says you're at.

NEVER use a real email address, NEVER just hit send without double and triple checking everything, and before you get a new computer and throw out your current one (or just replace the harddrive), destroy the HD.  At least format it and then take a hammer to it, destroy those platters.

Actually helpful, especially if we've met before.  A few things to consider if you decide to that:

1) Use e-mail if your prospective clients have indicated it is OK to do.  Trust me, many will enjoy hearing from you.  This does not make you appear to be desperate.  Texting should not be done until you are in contact, the meeting is scheduled, and you want to flirt a little bit leading up to that...

2) Do not call unless the client is a regular, and you know he is cool with that.

Samantha Fines See my TER Reviews 201 reads

In my opinion it would be desperate. UNLESS you have a regular that would like an email saying your'e touring their area..
If your'e going to tour it would be most appropriate to put an ad on the regional board.
