The premise is great, and the site seems legit... but there's no way I'm using such a service when they use AOL as their mailbox!  AOL is well-known for screening email for use that violates their terms of service (TOS) agreement, which renders their promise of keeping secrets secret null and void.

If this service wants to be seen as legit, especially since they're charging $60 a pop to the hobbyists, they will at a minimum move to a private hosting company or set up their own mail server so that they have some control over access to emails.  Yes, I know that nothing is impervious to snooping if John Law wants to, but at least with a private hoster, it takes a supoena to get access to the emails - on AOL, one of their staffers might be reading your emails at any time without your permission.

I don't understand what she does that we can't do?  It's just another person that has access to personal info.  Mine and now yours.  I think I will take a pass on this service

I'll deal with the screening issue on an individual basis when a lady requests it of me.  I don't care to have that info available for someone I'm not interested in seeing, & there is absolutely no way that I want to be in someone's database.

There is a another service that is done by members verifying each other.  It has worked great around DC.  If there is a lady on there that you have seen then ask her to verify that she saw you and you can join.  Then you can tell it to another lady or gent and verify them to join.  Takes the hassles out of all the questions.
