Biggest spreader of germs in the bathroom is the door knob on the way out. It's coated with shit. By contrast, pee is sterile unless someone has a bleeding urinary tract. I guess you are not into golden showers, tant pis.

That may or may not be a signal of poor hygiene. Like the punchline from the old joke goes, "I'm from -enter location- and my daddy taught me not to pee on my hands!"

The stuff is full of ammonia which is a disinfectant.

The problem there is that it's not merely the bathroom door handle but virtually any doorknob or surface -- like you work desk and keyboard, office phone, break room counter top.

And one hopes there's some toilet paper between hand and shit!

once quipped as we were both taking a piss in a bar urinal "seems to me it would make just as much sense to wash your hands BEFORE taking a piss when you think of what your hands come into contact with during the course of the day".  We chuckled, but there's some truth to it, as well.

I've read that hot water does nothing to kill germs. I do know that hot feels better than cold.

So let me take this opportunity to say....and this is why a gentleman should wash his hands when he arrives at an incall with plans of exploration. 😁

It's everything else you've touched along the way- the bathroom door handle, the wall, whatever else, which has most likely been touched just before you came in by someone who didn't wash their hands after taking a sh*t.

It's not just those who don't wash their hands, but how you wash them too.  Just running your hands under the faucet for a second or two and not using soap like I see many folks do is almost as bad as not washing at all.

False that hot water does not kill germs. Hot water definitely kills germs. Most medical equipment are sanitized by autoclave, which is basically steam under pressure. Survivalists and outdoors people boil water to make it safe for drinking. Hot water will kill germs. However, we are talking about water at boiling or near boiling temperatures. Some bacteria is killed at temperatures as low as 140 degrees F, but many require, 160, 180, or even higher (i.e. boiling) The "hot" water that comes out of your tap is about 120, not nearly hot enough to kill anything. In fact some bacteria grow and thrive in the range of 100 degrees and a little higher.

The hand washing thing is legit when it comes to disease transfer. If you have 100 million germs on your fingers and wash your hands with plain soap and water, you will reduce the germ count significantly; let's say down to 1 million.

...and never (well rarely) get sick. It's why we have immunities built up because of exposure like that daily. There is a danger of becoming too sanitized and actually being sick because of a lack of immunities. Yes I wash my hands but all this hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes in public places isn't really a good thing.

Can I get one for my incall and put it on a vertical slider for guys to dry their penis? Lol, only half kidding,guys. It just looks like it would work pretty good, though.
