I was just looking through some photos of Marilyn Monroe, for a project I am working on, and wondered: If she were a provider today - What do you think her rate would be?

If she was in Wichita or Oklahoma City. Rates are highly dependent on geographic area. If she was in NY or LA she would probably be at 6-700. Las Vegas 500-600. San Diego 4-500. Many other areas 3-400. Of couse I'm just throwing these numbers out because you asked, but any lady can set her rate at anything she wants, then see if she is getting the amount of business she wants, from the type of clients she wants, in the geographic area she is providing in. If she was an actual celebrity available UTR, her rate would be much higher.

Probably a 9 or 10 on appearance  because her figure was the rage during her time. Probably a 6or7 on performance. She was a lousy actress.

She was not perfection, but her perceived imperfections make her even more fascinating. I think by today's standards she would have had to advertise as curvy for sure… but her face (I am biased as a face driven provider)…her face is a literal work of art. Widows peek, bedroom eyes beautiful nose followed by pillow lips???

I thought it depends more on the size of her breasts, the cloths she's wearing, or how many shots she can handle without blowing chunks. If she can guzzle a bottle of Ambersdam Vodka and still walk a straight line, now THAT's true performance.  

So my wish would be that she was from my area, so that I could catch her at her entry rate, before she went up to $2,000 an hour!

I'd give her a solid 9 since she's obviously a model instead of a model material. She has a nice face too.
A 9.2 with full make up on if she really looks somewhere near her glamour photos in person.  

That's my criteria for a 10 in appearance. If you can make playboy mag you're a 10.

Did rates cone before rating? Or did rating come before rates? Are rates fair?

 If she is model-thin then she's a 9.5~9.7ish.  If she's not bitchy, happy overall, cool, not flaky, has a great smile that doesn't hint signs of deceit, and has good chemistry with me then she's a 10 in looks.  
   
 Who knows what her performance is like. If she does duos, can jump up and down doing asian cowgirl for 20 minutes without a break, greek, BBBJTCNQNSCIM, able to run a 26 mile marathon in 3 hours, able to bench press 400 lbs, always 100% certain that it's pee, not to mention being nit picky about the use of the word "should" in an article title, questions whether everything is fair or sells or existed before it existed, and threatens to file a restraining order against one board alias to keep away from another board alias... and if she worships a male model, capitalizes all pronouns in reference to him...  
   
 ... then and only then can she qualify for that coveted 10 in performance.  

Did rates preface ratings? Did looks preface surgery? Is there such thing as black holes? Does 90 lb male model admiration make one gay? Is this real life? Do I have stitches? I don't feel tired but… Do I have stitches? BTW you all have four eyes…two fingers? (me favs) or four fingers?

Not that I could afford to pay at this rate but if I can, I would pay up to 2x what she makes for 1 week. Since she's one of the most celebrated celebrities and I'm sure she probably made some serious $$$ so offering any less would likely go balked at.  

I think she woukd have been a better actress if she had ever been given heavier roles, but aside from that, the women who are great in bed wouldn't necessarily be that good on stage, film, TV. I'd probably give her a 9/9 as I suspect she'd "go the extra mile" in whatever she did.

Marilyn was unique, and men wanted to know her. At the time, most men probably would have gone higher for Jayne Mansfield. But today? If Natalie Wood was on the same mall, that would be a contest to watch. I wonder if either would make the TER top 10.

but I have definitely seen some rather homely women pose for playboy. There were a few Sports stars, some reasonably famous actresses, and some other low level celebrities that come to mind.

As for names, I can barely remember the names of truly hot women that I have actually fucked, how am I expected to remember the names of Fuglies that I have only glanced at in magazines??? lol

Enough has been written about her by people who knew her that I find totally plausible the notion that she had the ineffable ability to drive men crazy -- and these are guys who have enough $$$ to pay for anyone on the planet.  So if you're talking about just looks you're missing the point.  I saw her once in person in a restaurant from a distance and she was heading for the ladies -- I was not a fan of hers but she was stunning.  And when she was in East Hampton with Arthur Miller for one summer, one day she was walking on a deserted part of the beach and met up with a hunky guy who was a garage mechanic and a local stud, they struck up a conversation and soon were hard at it.  There was no money exchanged.  They met a few more times before that interlude cooled, but it's well documented.  Of the three great divas of that era -- Marilyn, Elizabeth, and Ava, I would easily pick the latter, but alas I never met up with her on a deserted beach.

But to his credit he usually picks dimes.

Of course you can't do that with P4P over the internet, but I see a lot of women in Costa Rica that I meet in bars that I never even bother asking their names. I suppose if it were important enough to me I could always look their name up from where they have to sign in with the hotel, but it's just never seemed to be THAT important to me. lol

I said "6." In literal TER grades (not the normal inflated reviews) A 6 is "nice", a 7 is "attractive", and so forth. Of course everyone has their own taste. You said all Playboy gals are 10s. I say not true (in my eyes). The ones I did meet that I thought were ok, but not drop dead gorgeous just usually didn't live up to the pictures. (like many providers) Airbrushing, photoshopping, whatever editing was done back in the pre digital days, way too much plastered on makeup, lighting etc., just made the in real life meeting "meh.

I would rate her a 9 in look and 8 in body. Oh somebody said rates not rating? LOL.  Fine, I'd pay her $200/hr. max IF I'm in the mood for her type. She's really not quite my type as I prefer a slimmer and more athletic type with more defined muscles AND a washboard stomach.

Obviously this is all subjective though.
But honestly, I think the best shots of some of the ladies I've seen (including a couple I haven't reviewed yet), are EVERY bit as hot as those of your average playboy model

She did a bit of modelling after her centerfold debut, and I worked with her pretty often. She was a real sweetheart. The client didn't have money in the budget for a wardrobe stylist, so I did my own pinning of her clothing when I photographed her. I hated that part.
