One thing that's easy to forget: The absence of drama. At least for the 60-, 90-, 120-minutes or more you decide upon. Being with someone you want to be with minus any kind of drama. It's not real world - but that's the magic of it.

With the right people I totally agree there is a certain magic to the hobby when you meet someone that is a true professional.Unfortunately there are still plenty of hacks out there that mix real life with their job and make the fantasy world of the hobby look too much like reality

The hobby is also a lot more economical than civie dating, at least in the long run.

Gals are more sexually talented than those who are civie only.  Practice does make perfect.

and being able to see ladies that I probably wouldn't get to see in the civie world.  There's also the added benefit of being able to do things that a civie date or SO might not want to do. Or depending on your preference, maybe just focusing on your needs and desires.  

to a cost-benefit analysis! There are MANY men whose lengthy marriages have evolved into platonic co-housing with your best friend type situations. They quip- "It's cheaper to keeper." And YES, "hobbying" can be cheaper than casual serial dating where "consumation" is never guarenteed... But when I see men on here liken ALL human male/female relationships to a spread sheet of profit margins, net earnings vs gross earnings, risk analysis, cash flow etc...

There are plenty of women who rate the men on their earning power, net worth and what their monthly allowance should be for sleeping with them.  The cynicism goes both ways and being intelligent I know you know that but when expressed like this guy did and so many women do, it is sad that plain old love gets shoved into a corner.

Especially because I don't date.  Except with providers.  I was never good at civvie dating anyway.  I prefer the directness and honesty of P4P.  But even if I did date, using the spreadsheet approach is just pathetic.

Anticipation. Something new almost every time, with a very sure outcome (well, mostly).  Waiting and wanting is almost as good as having.

Whether I made a spread sheet  or relied on memory , the best ones will stand out .

I do not keep any written spreadsheets of this kind, but I will readily admit that I keep a mental one of the gals I meet, and why not?

So, if I'm in an SO relationship (And I am.), I use a whole different set of logic and rationales with that then I do the hobby.

This does not mean that I am not loving towards providers either.  Being a loving person means treating people with respect and kindness, among other things.

But in the world of P4P, to assess a person's qualities and then quantify those qualities into a decision to see or not see said person is the sine qua non of this world.  To try to have it otherwise is a recipe for disaster.

There is more drama here than in the civvie world . And again I agree100% with your post.  

They also like when you notice the little things and tell them their hair us nice or you like the color of their nails or their clothes . And dawg always look in their eyes and smile .

When Courtney posted that silly video yesterday, it crystalized for me how much men are often creating their own misery with their choice of partners. If they go about dating like the banker in the NY Post article, they shouldn't be surprised when they end up in a sexless marriage with a beautiful gold-digger! No good will ever come of men or women in the civie world looking at eachother as a collection of "assets"- whether they be financial or physical! The silly blond girl in the video had a point- those self-proclaimed "nice guys" are often chasing vapid, beauties instead of going after the more average looking "nice girls." Which makes them superficial, which isn't all that "nice" when you really think of it! Lol. Interesting stuff!
