The April issue of San Francisco Magazine has a story about the nieghborhood "brothels" where many of those sweet young Korean and Chinese girls who barely speak English are actually being held hostage as sex slaves by the gangs back home.  They either have no papers, or their passports are held  to keep them in line.  On a lighter note(?), the mamasan interviewed is named, "Poon".
