It has been my impression that most PD's are reluctant to enter a lady's residence in an attempt to make a bust. A question was posted earlier this year on that topic and as I recall the only example that could be given otherwise was a case in Chicago where a minor was providing services in an apartment.
The following article from the San Gabriel Valley Tribune states that arrests were made in residences, though no examples are discussed.
Seems the "pandering" is being done by some police departments, which want to curry the favor of a segment of the public in a time when "hard crime" is rampant and pot holes remain unrepaired in much of the country.
I was present during a bust an incall apartment in the Atlanta area a year or so ago. Fortunately I was fully clothed and in the kitchen of the apartment when they burst in.I also had the good sense to keep my shut and not admit to having commited any type of crime despite LE's efforts at intimidation. The ladies weren't so lucky. The cops spouted the same bullshit about human trafficking and sex slaves.
I don't agree with you. I don't know about Georgia, but there are actually some Asian women who don't speak English and who are pimped in the San Gabriel Valley. They come here thinking they are getting a job and then they get pimped instead. Do you seriously think a woman wants to have sex on a bare mattress like that? And do you think she gets all of the money? I don't say it's a good thing to have these busts, but sometimes they have saved women who are way in over their head and have nowhere to go. I'm wondering if you or anyone else going to that apartment in Atlanta was using an agency. I'm not into madams and agencies keeping working apartments. That gets known really fast and then the cops move in on it. Screening is the only way to avoid any type of bust. Providers need to screen because it's all about safety, not just from cops but from weirdoes too. You can screen in a nice way but also a smart way. I learned from one of the best in the business who is retired now. She played cat and mouse with Beverly Hills cops and they were pissed they could never get her. But her friend was busted in Orange County, inside her townhouse. And the cop took off all his clothes and then the backup stormed in. But they decided not to prosecute her for some reason.
It happens in NY and other big cities on occasion. Apartments or AMP's are nailed at times, and "suspected" human trafficing is used as an excuse to execute a warrent or conduct a sting. While the busts do occur, it's pretty rare that it makes the news because most of who are busted are not slaves, but here willingly. I am in favor of the sex slavemasters being busted, and would never frequent one. As far as non AMP's, Chick is correct, and screening is a must. Not a 100% guarentee, but a good foundation.
I will not dispute the fact that human trafficking exists, it is however completely overblown and sensationalized to give LE the moral high ground to after escorts as opposed to "real" crime.
In this era of "who's the biggest victim? if there is no victim, the media will invent one.
I've know several Korean gals quite well (Met their familiies, been to their homes, etc. Believe me, the life they lead here is far better than what they came from.)
I had the same experience as you, and in the area mentioned in this newspaper article. I wanted to try a new massage place and called an an ad in the paper. After receiving confusing directions I arrived at a residence versus a business location. Since I had had non-FS massages in a residence before I went in and got more that what was advertised. Shortly, LE was banging on the door. There were at least 5 or 6 members on the team. They let me go since they could not prove anything but were very intimidating. Now I'm concerned that some of the women I know (independents) have been affected by this last sting or are just lying low.
What most "American" people don't understand is that many of these gals tour, and while it looks like they are living in squalor, they actually have nice homes in their cities of residence and do quite well for themselves.
I, like Mr Fisher have known many(dozens if not hundreds) of these mainly Korean gals, it's true they work hard, but the only ones I know that want to go back are the ones who have already made their "fortunes" so to speak.
That's some scary shit man. Glad you made it out alright though, that's crazy. Yeah , I mean they don't have any evidence, I would have done the same, though when I got home I would have needed a fifth of Jack .
While I'm sure human trafficking and the sex slaving goes on, I'm sure the highest percentage of wokers are by free will, and it's just another way to waste time, when they should be out busting pedophiles and what not.
