some hobbysts think that Asians are not worth if they charge higher rates...

Good morning all,

I must say; I was as well, as one of the questions was "Most Asians charge less, is she worth it and why?"

Thank you,

Good morning all,

I was wondering (should this have happened to you) how the gents on the board feel about questions about a provider from another gent.

I write because someone who expressed interest in meeting me has contacted the gents who've reviewed me, and I got reactions ranging from one who happily recommended me, to another (who happens to be my ATF, and I his) who was put off by the queries.

I must say; I was as well, as one of the questions was "Most Asians charge less, is she worth it and why?"

Just wanted to get a feel for what the barometer is out there on this matter.

Thank you,
design.lust

It depends on the questions and who is asking them to a degree. I don't give specifics about a gal via PM that I didn't put in a review.  I got some inquiries last week about a gal who I had not yet reviewed and I asked her if she wanted me to respond before I did so. I will answer basic questions if the guy asking has a history on TER.

How weird you got queries about a girl you hadn't yet reviewed!  That is what struck me about your post!

I like your conduct regarding this matter.  But I'm a bit freaked out about how the inquires got put to you in advance of the review!  Gah!

As for my manners...thank you for responding to my post!  (The shock took over my demeanor, for a spell.)

Kind regards, and thank you again.

Lol, sorry for the confusion! I had mentioned in a post on my local board that I had an appointment booked with her.  I had not gotten around to writing a review yet but a couple of hobbyists had remembered my comment about planning to see her.  That is why I got the inquires

Gents need to understand that their ATFs see many other guys.  If they can't bare the fact, they shouldn't be on this site submitting reviews on ladies.  When others see your reviews, they will PM and ask for more info.  I always give my honest opinion or whoever ladies they ask info on, even my ATFs.  I'm here to have fun and variety, not keeping ATFs all to myself ;)

most q's I get are from fellow TER hobbyists who are friends of mine & who I trust.

On other topic, nice reply, design, to my previous OP which showed you to be bright, classy & sweet.

...thank you for your response, and insight.

"Bright, classy and sweet" -- you made my day (well, you and hound_dog69.)

OH!  I might add a page to my site with quotes!  Hmm...

I hope you consider this provider/hobbyist flirting, because this is my full intention!  I am doing it now!!!

My very best regards, and again, thank you.

PS:  The dude querying (borderline pestering?) has no reviews, no Whitelistings...it's odd.

...I have given replies that basically amplify the information that was already in my reviews. The inquiries that I've received were short and asking one or two questions about specific aspects of her performance. I feel that these inquiries were from members who just wanted confirmation of their potential choice and they wanted to see that there truly was a real person behind the review posted.

Nothing is more powerful as marketing than word of mouth from a satisfied customer.

If a lady has given me a kick-ass experience and others ask me about her -- I unabashedly share that she rocks. Why not?

And, sometimes I'll respond, but just to valid a review.

With the example that you mentioned, if I did respond, I'd just say: "Good luck in kicking the tires!"

I don't drive, and don't understand car-like analogies!  Please explain!  Is it like 'beating a dead horse'?

is a metaphor for testing out a product prior to buying.

Tires, in olden days, were often of such poor quality, that kicking them would reveal weaknesses in the side wall which would then warn a prospective buyer to move on.

The saying is a bit bewhiskered these days, as are many of us.

(NB:  The saying will sometimes surface as a crossword clue or answer.)

:o)

It's often used when the first person is trying to sell something, and the second person isn't sincere in their stated interest in what you have to sell. Or, they're wanting you to "sweet the pot" by making it a great deal for them, like throwing in a few other items for the same price of the original item, or substantially lower the price of the item.

Anyway, if you are a sales person, you typically dread the "tire kicker." :)

I think it is a plus for both clients and providers.

I think your site is very interesting and inspired.

Cruxciverbalist are so sexy!  8o)

As a relative newbie, I've PMed others regarding providers that I've been interested in.  In one instance, their feedback cleared all doubt that the provider was worth visiting.  To me, that's the beauty of this site, it allows one to make a more informed decision, decreasing the likelihood of disappointment and increasing the chances of a great time!

That said, I agree with others here who have commented on discretion in response, to whom you respond, etc.

As one of those referenced by the superb design.lust, I feel I should put my two cents in. I have no problem affirming that I think someone is great in a general way. I do have a problem when, if I answer a question about services and prices, I feel like I am being put in a position where I am negotiating for (or against) the lady in question. Such questions should be put to the provider directly, they are business matters. If I write a great review for someone who is expensive, it would seem to be a reasonable assumption that I thought they were worth it.
Finally, a general word about the women of TER. If everyone in the world were as honest and professional as the vast, vast majority of them are, the world would be a much better place.

I have received a few, including one on a lady I had not reviewed (she had white listed me, so that is another way it can happen). In that case, I waited for a second visit before doing a review.

In my world, there is an etiquette to reviews - I do ask for permission to review and give the lady some input if she wants it- and another one to what one says in private.

If my answer to the PM'ed question is positive, I give it since I assume the provider wants more business. If the answer is negative, I most likely will just refer the hobbyist back to my review, or give a calculatedly, neutral answer that will allow the fellow to continue in whatever direction he prefers. If that is too subtle for him to understand, then our experiences are unlikely to be very similar. "I adore her, go see her as soon as you can" is good, "she is okay, did you read my review?" is not.

I do not ask the provider for permission to answer a question, nor do I inform her of the inquiry - our time together and opportunities to communicate are too precious to waste on that, and I am already certain I am acting in her best interest anyway. If I were to inform the provider and ask for her permission to reply, am I not also obliged to tell the person who sent me the PM that I need to contact her before I reply? Too complex for me. The P in PM means private to me.

The first time someone PM'ed me about a lady we had both seen it was a little weird. But I think I needed to get over that - the lady is not mine, she does see other people regularly, and I needed to get my head around that. While I would not want to have a detailed discussion about what we did the way it is listed in a review, I am just fine with sharing something like, "Man, she is great, she makes my knees weak and my heart sing every time I see her, not sure whether I ever want to see anyone else." Or something like that. Quality of a BJ, I do not want to discuss.

But that's just me,
Zig

I will respond truthfully.  If I do not know him, I will most likely tell him to just read the review.  I do not offer info to guys that I don't know, esp if they have little or no board presence.

Swim

I personally will not do it anymore, based on a bad experience. I had a fellow hobbyists write to me asking about a lady; turns out it was her estranged husband trying to get back at her! so, Caveat Emptor!

It is not my place to discuss anything about whom I see. That will be breach of privacy of myself and the provider. It is nobody's business whom I see and what I do.

That's just me and my IMHO

I'm happy to confirm my review with a few more words.  The few I've gotten seem like some questions  were attempting to bypass a lady's security...  that I'll never do.

I don't mind answering questions from other gents about providers I've seen. I keep it positive. Fortunately to this point there hasn't been anything negative to say.

I will answer questions that are polite, respectful, and direct. I will not answer any questions that may breach a ladies security, or are disrespectful in any way like the question above. If the questions are too extreme I will inform the lady about said PM. I will only answer questions on ladies that gave me an OK to review them out of respect for their privacy. I will not talk about a lady who asked me not to. The only exception is if I feel I need to warn people about he. I us the PM system to inquire about ladies I am thinking about seeing and will respond to others doing the same.

has a good board pressence, I will confirm what is written in a review.  If the guy has no board pressence I may tell him to VIP so he can read the details in the reviews.

It depends who's asking the questions!

Shit! I've had gents say 'Mikey! You HAVE to hook me up with so-and-so!' And I've had guys just ask what this lady was like.

I've even told some guys 'You've got to see this lady!' when she was traveling to my dogs' neck of the woods.

My brothers, and you know who you are(!), know you can get an honest answer out of me.

I wouldn't steer you wrong, and I wouldn't do it to the ladies, either. ;)
