Like Jaydalee, I have always covered my own parking, I never thought to ask for extra - I just considered it a cost of doing business. Some Vegas hotels also allow 2-3 hours n/c with local ID.
Event parking would be a nasty surprise however - $80 is no joke. Not much you could do once you got there except accept it and pay.

I have been paying for parking for years out here in Vegas and never complained.
But just recently I paid $80 to selfpark at a hotel for 1hr. Told client about it. He apologized more than once says he uses an Uber/Lyft does not drive out here.
Next time he will be more prepared.He asks how can he solve this?
I say an option is to just give me the cash. He only has exact amount of donation. I suggest using his cell. Front desk says it can be billed to room use room key to get out
He gives it to me I try to use it to exit. Does not work. Hit attendant button and told would need to go to front desk. Not my room I just paid the $80
Some clients have paid for parking in the past or let me use 2nd key to get out and it was billed to his room.

... typically pay for your own parking. I guess it is just the cost of doing business. I've only been to Vegas a few times, however, I've noticed many women advertise that that parking or Uber to their hotel is extra. I would certainly pay for your hotel parking.
It's almost entirely outcall, meaning she comes to you. My experience is that you don't pay for her Uber or parking.
When I do outcall, I almost always use a hotel with no fee to park. Those hotels tend to be in suburban areas and not in downtown ones. When I see a provider in a downtown area, that is almost always for incall.

Also, the hotels I use for outcall that do charge for parking, I can find one that gets me unlimited in/out services with my car so giving the girl an extra room card gets her out of the lot for free and no fee is charged back to me.

On parking is that the host clearly understands the situation before the guest arrives and communicates that so there are no issues.
I ran into a n issue with having to use a credit card to exit, thereby leaving a paper trail. No bueno.
In answer to your OP, the host should have planned ahead and paid for parking or offered an Uber.
I also have a hard time believing he had no extra cash in Las Vegas.
However for some reason guys do not think about this here in Vegas.

Vegas is your home turf, so this will continue to be an issue for you.
Usually it is not an issue with me paying for the parking. I never uber in my hometown as I like to drive.
But the appt I mentioned in my OP the hotel parking has never been that expensive in the past.SEMA was in town and this year I guess attendance was closer to precovid so now here comes the inflated costs.

See.. I have been going to Vegas for years... But I don't drive in Vegas.. I take Uber / Lyft everywhere. On top of that I usually love staying on one of the Fremont Street hotels.. Circa is my favorite. Before that it was The D. The non-stop party atmosphere is unbeatable. Parking is really cheap over there. One of two places even have free parking. Fremont St garage has like $4 an hour. It is on the Strip that the parking is outrageous. But again a bottle of water costs $8.00.. LOL.
I think it is the responsibility of whoever is the local to set some ground rules. If you know you are going to outcall at Paris or New York, New York and know that you need to park then you should account for that.. It should be part of your price structure or you should add it to your donation with full disclosure. Whatever suits you.
One time I was actually staying Center Strip - At Harrah's and the provider who came to see me took Uber. She said it was only $15 and didn't have to bother with crazy driving or parking.
Golden Nugget is charging a flat rate of $50 on weekends now. (Yes, $50!)
I believe it was $20 minimum at Circa when I was there last month.
Neither offered a grace period for locals.
I know Golden Nugget is crazy expensive by DTLV standards..
If you're going to be in DTLV again, consider parking at the Plaza. Sunday-Thursday $10.00 whole day. Then just walk across the street to any hotel you want to visit. It's not that far a walk and not unsafe at all. You might even want to go up to Oscar's (My favorite DTLV steakhouse) later on . Hotel is crap, but the Steakhouse is something else. I always have my last meal there before returning back to Northern, VA
There used to be this bartender over there that loved sporting her massive cleavage. Very friendly and great smile and personality. Yum !!!

Good tip on the Plaza parking fee. I wish I'd known that a couple months ago. MGM was almost $30 and I was only parked there for about an hour. I'll have to remember the Plaza next time.
Tropicana parking was free but it was always full (for the same reason) but Tropicana was tore down earlier this year to make room for what are going to be Las Vegas A's soon. Then you would just get the monorail from Tropicana and that would have put you right in front of MGM..
You can still find cheap or free parking close to the Strip. What used to be Hooter's Hotel and Casino (Crappy hotel, but great wings.. ) is now OYO hotel has short term free parking. Then you can just get Uber or Lyft to strip.
Just returned from Las Vegas and based on your recommendation, we ate at Oscar's. Great meals all around and the service was exceptional. It is on our list for a return visit the next time we do DTLV. Bonus - we went to the show at the Plaza called Mavericks which was like retuning to the 70's when I first started going to Vegas. Nothing too fancy, just a very entertaining 90 minute show. We were staying on the strip so we took a cab, but they went on about validating parking at the restaurant and the show on top of everything else.

Another excellent Steakhouse in DTLV is Andiamo Steakhouse. It's at The D. I will be going back in Nov - my usual time to go Visit Vegas. Can't handle the heat. I will check out Mavericks. I simply love the big shows on Strip with million dollar budget but I also love smaller productions in DTLV. They have a level of warmth and coziness that I admire.
Sinatra used to hang out there. Our friend MP67 raves about it. I hear you need to reserve weeks in advance though. Famous for their Prime Rib, Australian Lobster Tails and table side-made Caesar Salad.
It is my dream to eat there... If you been there, you know it' just looks like run of the mill place from the outside, but the food, service, ambiance is off the charts.. So are the prices. LOL. I have never been able to make a reservation for the time I wanted.. Maybe next time I will book there first then put together rest of the trip around it.. LOL.
They have a 40 or 50oz porterhouse steak that's close to like $300. Can you imagine what that thing looks like? Must be served on a turkey platter!

But--communication is the key. Upsell or add-on of any kind is a definite mood killer. When everything is worked out upfront and we all know the ground rules BEFORE our session, everyone is happy or they are free to make other arrangements.
The way your situation unfolded sounds a bit unusual but I guess at times, life can be strange.

So covering a hotel parking would not be a big deal.
Not the circle I run in because when I am in a larger city I do incall only, but I would just pad your outcall rate for everyone with another $50-$60 to cover the parking.
I'm happy to send ubers. In my time in Vegas (and from a friend's anecdotal experience) it was basically just part of the hourly rate and they just didn't want to linger since it would run into the next rate charge.
I've sent deposits via cashapp before, but that's always technically a risk when it's the first meet.
I usually keep a bit extra cash on me anyway. You never know when something comes up.

If a provider is going to incur any expense due to coming to me, such as a parking fee, I just cover it. I'll let her know, there will be a x-amount to park that I'll add back into the cash donation.

I make it a rule never, NEVER to bargain with a lady about her rates; I think it's unprofessional and rude. Similarly, if I'm getting hounded to pay for something I didn't agree to, I'm out.

But if a person is going to walk out because the provider asked him to pay an unexpected out of the norm high parking fee. If that makes him so upset and flustered then that is not my kind of client.
How could there be a prior arrangement for a parking fee that was put in place for a convention he was attending? I was not attending the convention and do not stay in hotels in my homebase but I bet there was some kind of sign or told when checking-in. But some people could care less if it does not affect them personally.
My History with Vegas goes all the way back to 1992 when I first graduated and started working in LA...My job had me in Vegas A LOT for the next 15+ years. These current (exorbitant and ridiculous) parking fees are actually only a relatively recent phenomenon....for decades the casino resort/hotels either offered free parking or allowed people to validate inside the casino their parking tickets....all they USED to care about was getting people into their casinos to gamble. This started to change in a bad way about 12-13+ years ago (2010 maybe) when, in a supreme example of CORPORATE greed run totally fuckin' amuck, they all decided to make parking a "revenue stream" and parking costs went from negligible/modest all the way up to Exorbitant Pain-In-The-Ass.
Fuckin' Vegas..... I was recently in Vegas a couple months ago and saw the nicest, sweetest, most beautiful provider who got stuck paying parking when she came to see me because (clueless me) never even thought to ask because my head was still back in goddamn 1992....when I go back out there in the next 2-3 months I will make amends to her.
I only do outcall in Vegas so I know how expensive the parking can be. By the way, I heard the parking is going up in Dec.
But I always insist on covering her parking, even if she says "That's OK".
I'll walk her to the valet, cover the cost, tip the guy and that's that.
as well are going up in Dec at least for MGM group it is.
You are a class act and you know Vegas I wouldn't expect you to do anything less for your date.
But also you understand crazy parking fees I am sure out there.
Raise your rates to cover your cost? Do you let your clients know you expect them to pay for your parking ?

that usually covers parking. I think only once the parking fee was more than my outcall fee. I just ate the cost since it was unusual (it was a big convention I think).
Maybe you can have a variable outcall fee and put something like “Outcall fee: 50-100, depending on parking cost” or something like that?
If she is coming to me for an outcall, I pay the parking. If I'm going to a hotel that she has booked as an incall, I pay my parking, but not theirs, although sometimes I will whip out the parking ticket as I'm leaving and ask if they validate. Always good for a laugh.

Well now you know and you should charge the Client for parking fees ($80.00) Plus the cost of what you do for them. Like for example.......If you charge $350 per hour and tack on an additional $80 for parking fee then they will pay $430 for the hour they get you.
I vaguely remember asking this years ago on this board, and the consenses was the client should pay for parking.
The one time I stayed at a hotel that charged parking, I told the escort the cost and that I would put the amount in the envelope.
Respectfully, you are the professional. It's up to you to know what the costs are for you to provide your service and then charge accordingly. These days, it is common to nickel and dime customers with extra fees like 2-4% for credit card processing. If you were to ask me for an additional sum to pay your parking fee, I would give it to you. But it would definitely make me feel worse about my experience with you, and it might cause me to be a no-repeat.
With that in mind, your practice might depend on your clientele. More of them are one-offs? Get what you can. Looking to develop a following? Make them feel like they got premium service for the premium fees you are charging. Don't nickel and dime them. Just include an extra sum in the fee you charge when you are doing outcall to a property where you are going to have to pay parking fees. Sometime, the property will have a higher fee than usual. If that happens, suck it up. And be proud knowing that you really are providing great service.
My fee of $100 on top of my rates is to cover parking, gas and tolls as needed. DC parking is also high, there are toll roads and hot lanes, my fee usually covers all that and I have leftover
