Needs More Interesting Reviews

I think I may just let it lapse and maybe revisit it again down the road. Ever since it’s came back all it’s been for me is an expensive discussion board. Nothing of value is coming out of this site. The reviews are nonsense and subjects are irrelevant most of the time. The vaccine one killed me. I’m not the busting’ balls type of guy but all I’m finding on here are reasons to bust balls. So I guess this is a “goodbye” peeps of TER. I hope it’s temporary but I’m feeling is more permanent.

Good luck on your vaccinations and I hope your arms aren’t too sore the next day!!!

Until the next time,

But I would hardly call it expensive.

That said, this isn't anything recent for me. Texas has NEVER been a place where TER has been particularly useful, but I do like running my mouth here and I have developed a lot of long running friendships here with both hookers and mongers alike. I don't see myself leaving here anytime soon.

BTW you don't have to be a VIP member to post here, you just have to be VIP to post under an alias.

END OF MESSAGE

Let's not forget that TER was only back for a couple months before pandemic hell broke loose.  Any momentum that TER had out of the gate once it returned has been slowed considerably.  Hopefully, as pandemic fear eases, the range of topics here will broaden, and we'll again have a vibrant community.  As to the tone of conversation on some of the boards.  It's your choice to ignore that which you disagree with, are disgusted with, or just don't want to hear. There will always be value in reviews, although I've seen some real garbage ones for sure.  IMO, it's high time to end free days for reviews, putting an immediate stop to the fake reviews, which could slow down or end the exodus of providers from this site, and probably attract some new providers too.  Moreover, ditch the ridiculous restrictions on what is an 8, or 9, or 10 performance.  Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so too is the degree of date satisfaction.  Happy campers here as opposed to pissed off campers here should be the goal.  TER's yearly renewal gives one an extra 90 days.  Less than $17 dollars a month weighed against ones monthly playtime budget for steerage assistance in choosing whom to see is a bargain to me.

This place is another tool in painting the big picture to what you might get. This is a very ymmv sport. In my home area it’s useless. Since I travel a lot it’s useful.

only one review to prevent me from seeing a horribly bad session, the membership paid off itself. I don't TOFTT often so I do rely on reviews to stay away from the blue-ball session.

I still think reviews are useful, including older reviews, but of course, especially newer reviews.  That's why I renewed TER just the other day.
.
What is the cost of a bad session?  Generally more than a year renewal of TER.  Same reason I keep my P411 current.  Hell, one bad LE experience can cost an unimaginable amount.  It's cheap insurance looked at that way.

I get a good amount of value out of TER. I haven't paid for VIP because my review volume generally keeps pace with my need for full review access. The discussion boards aren't as active as they used to be, but I still check in a couple times a week and get some entertainment value and sometimes good info.

I do expect things to start picking up this summer as we come out of COVID. I predict that this summer will be a wild party in most of the world with people getting out and doing all the things they missed doing for the past year. This will include mongers and providers going crazy in a frenzy of paid fucking. Should be helpful to this site.

And I will let you in on a little secret. The whole thing was just a scam to keep the Californians from invading Texas until we can get that wall built on our Western border.

State of Texas to stop offering tax incentives for companies who move their offices to Texas.

I’ve got about a 50% chance that I’ll have to move to Texas to work with the people on my team

Just remember to bring plenty of K-Girls with you, and PLEASE leave your liberal friends back in CA like I did when I left CA for good well over 30 years ago.

I'm having too much fun right here in So Cal enjoying my Arnold Palmer's, avocado toast, sushi, wine tasting, liberal politics (as long as I stay out of Orange County and Fresno), clean beaches, fires, earthquakes, floods and smoking bans in public (except for weed), to ever want to move to a state with zero state income taxes, arguably the best BBQ in the US, big hats on tiny heads, Austin-Weird, and a football team that used to win.  :p

Now please excuse me while I don a fresh face mask so I can go out to the curb and bring in my trash cans.

I can not post the link because of a paywall but the SF Chronicle posted the change of address numbers. There were only 238 SF households that moved to Austin last year. Less than 200 moved to DFW.

Most moved to other parts of the Bay Area or the Northwest. Who wants to fry like an egg 8 months a year in a state with lousy scenery?

Getting rid of you and your kind  from the Bay Area 30 years ago was a positive thing. I am far from liberal.

The Corporations move there as a tax play. Once they exploit Texas, they will move on down the line and exploit someplace else. It is the American way!

Unfortunately with demographic trends in Texas, the state could turn permanently blue in the next eight to twelve years.  This could end having any Republican presidents, though the House and Senate could still have chances for Republican majorities.
.
There are other states that are more likely to remain Republican into the future, like Florida and many midwestern states.

executing immigrants from California and Mexico, it might solve the problem permanently and it could remain red for another 100 years.

But Florida is already "purple" and if the exodus from NY, NJ et al continues, Florida may turn blue in a few short years.

I do agree that Texas may turn blue in the next few years for the very same reason, I am using this as motivation to "get mine" so it won't matter if the USA becomes a third world country. I don't know if you have ever been to a third world country, but they only suck if you're poor. They rock if you are rich. I haven't been "down south" in what seems like forever because of COVID, maybe the third world will come to me instead?

..some of the Moderators do an inadequate job.  Frankly I might leave at some point when the Moderators tick me off by denying posts "they" feel don't fit whatever standard they are applying that day.  I complained about a really bad VIP review that was nothing but the same sentence repeated several times.  It was crap and anyone should have been able to figure that out, but they rejected my report.  On this thread they rejected my previous comment.  It was sarcastic, and as my old friend used to say, "most people don't  appreciate good sarcasm".  One day they will hit my limit and then I will quit being a VIP.

I'm with you, Gambler. I'd be more than happy to be a presence here again, but they have their own ideas.

I'm not gonna waste my time, and money, on a site that is going down the shitter.

I might be stupid, but I'm not dumb.

I was THIS close to paying just to read PMs but thought why? TER hasn't afforded me anything in years. Who the fuck are they? They're a fucking dinosaur as far as and need to pull their head out of their altruistic asses.

They wonder why we split and went on other forums.

Gambler, you know as well as I do, reviews are just that. You never did and never had to. There's something to be said about being discrete and minding your own business. If you need a recommendation they can ask the last few.

I've grown very distant and resentful, especially since most women aren't here anymore. It's a sausage-fest and considering I have your's and other brother's numbers I don't have to deal with this fucking nonsense.

Tell me I'm wrong?

Hey you told me to say it. lol

As for TER, at least there are still a few female posters around, some of whom add a lot of value to the place like Debra and Mya, but I completely agree about TER's value as a review site. I used to get a LOT of value out of TER when I lived in Atlanta ten years ago or so, but since I left Atlanta, and especially the last five years or so, I get almost ZERO value from TER as a useful vetting tool for the ladies I see. TER is pretty much useless in Texas, and to be honest it always has been.

That said, I still have a lot of friends on these boards and I still enjoy running my mouth here and I have especially enjoyed the fact that TER has so graciously allowed a board for Sugar Bowl discussions, so I am not completely anti TER.

I think a big mistake is to allow providers to delist their reviews.

GaGambler 150 reads

That said, I believe there are some VERY legitimate reasons for a provider to want to delist, I have known many providers who have retired and who wanted to put this chapter of their lives COMPLETELY behind them without any "hanging chads" remaining on the internet to tie them to their past lives as a hooker.

and then of course there are hookers like our little BSC drunk friend who melted down here a couple of days ago. She actually has/had some pretty good reviews, but should she be allowed to benefit from the review system here while having a strict no review policy in effect? Not to mention that particular hooker took every opportunity to bash the entire "review culture" here while at the same time copying and pasting excerpts from her positive reviews to use to promote herself.

I guess there is no perfect solution, it is what it is. I think that women should be allowed to retire in peace, while at the same time I hate the fact that bad actors can run from their bad reviews by simply delisting themselves.

Personally, I never understood the whole resistance to "review culture".

When you provide a service that you advertise publicly, whether online or by ad in newspaper, etc, you need to expect reviews for such services. Thats just how stuff works.

These services being illegal does not give any exemptions. S1lk Road had seller ratings, and that was a highly illegal marketplace.

Bottom line, it's highly ironic that some people want to advertise tgeir services publicly, but don't want to have feedback publicly.

I rarely click on the website URLs for most of the reviewed providers. Bargain hunters dominate the reviewer crowd. No Thanks. I use a $50 gift card for access, once in a while. It's so easy for politicians to pour gas on various fires. I don't see any enlightenment coming.
