If she doesn't want to use the phone and  she gives me the location and room # via TER PM its fine by me. In my opinion that seems risky to her, since some senators are time wasters or crazy. I don't want any incriminating info on my email.
I have a disposable phone bought by one of my aides, for provider correspondence.
Most Senators and our CEO friends will not use
email, when corresponding with providers.
The smartest, most successful providers have TER PM.

I just move on to the next provider. lol

Honestly, if a lady is too busy, or too whatever to grace me with a couple of minutes on the phone prior to meeting, I promptly lose all desire to book with her. Problem solved.

"And as far as the other post, concerning PM's it is not my favorite way to communicate and I find many ladies feel the same way."

Please explain why TER PM is not the best choice for initial correspondence with providers.
In my estimation, it would be a lot easier for the Justice department to access my deleted emails, and close to impossible to visit my deleted TER PMs. I use my aides lap top to access TER, unknowing to him.
I checked FBI files and TER isn't located in the Governments scope of Big Brother.
Gotta go, my aide is coming back from lunch.

Efficiency is a beautiful thing.
Email or PM for the initial inquiry. Give my play phone # the day of appointment or evening before...and then text when she or I get there.
I'm extremely busy...they are busy with lots of stupid emails and requests....so it works out well.
We can talk when we get together.

Mostly, because it's inconvenient. A person has to log into TER from a computer to read PMs, she can't always read and respond from her PDA. If she is at work for most of the day, she might not be able to log on until she is at her own computer.

Plus, not all girls with TER profiles have provider accounts...if they don't, then they will not get your PMs.

Finally, although TER does deliver a notification to someone's email when they are PM'ed, that notification is not always timely. I used to get them up to two weeks after the PM was sent.

And, some reviewers don't want the provider to see their handle and review history.

The last two new girls I saw were both email only and they texted me on the day of the appointment.  That works fine for me. Unless you have a smart phone I would say that strictly email only could be a problem on the day of the appointment.

My ATF has e-mail only contact.  Obviously, it can slow communication, and become somewhat frustrating for me.  Advance scheduling becomes a necesstiy when some degree of spontanaity would be nice.  On the other hand, it allows her to keep control of her life and she doesn't have to use a "hobby phone" in addition to her personal phone.

I can send the email when I want to and the lady can respond likewise.  The phone # comes after arrangements are made. Many of the email (only) ladies I've seen, request a phone conversation before the date, which is  fine by me.  And as far as the other post, concerning PM's it is not my favorite way to communicate and I find many ladies feel the same way. My .02 cents

a little strange, but I've had dates when I've never spoke to the lady, not a problem.  You can get a vibe about a lady with extensive email exchanges.  It's it my fav way to communicate, no,  but I've been down that road.  I'm setting up something right now for December with a lovely young lady, have had numerous   pm and email exchanges with the lady. If I don't get to speak with her unitl I open her incall door it's fine with me.

Doc

The administration that signs my check, the same administration in charge of Big brother, are well known for prying into private details of everyday citizens. They are especially known for prying into Senators, private lives, and accessing their email accounts.
There are  mimimal PC skills required to access  emails without permission, whether deleted or not.
TER admin is not a part of big brother. The country they are from are well known for not caring what little brothers or neighbors, are doing with their private lives.
Only a ignorant Senator would contact a provider by email. I have many colleagues who fit that description. TER PM or disposable phone are the only way I fly, when corresponding with providers.

Doesn't matter to me what most do. I only pick  providers who play by my game plan. If she doesn't answer my TER PM, I move on. No hard feelings, and no emails. There are always plenty available who will accept my references via TER PM. Phone call after TER PM reply. No exceptions. Its my game. I pay to play the way I want.
I leave the providers who don't wish to meet my PM rules to commoners, who are accustomed to following rules, and being told what to do.

A lot of people misunderstanding, is par for the course.
A provider without TER PM is my idea of a  double bogie.
I understood. That's why I am Senator. They voted for me, when someone told them to,but they didn't understand why.

To each is own job. The secretarial aspect of the job is a real turn off to me. I prefer doing my own booking as I tried outsourcing it but I don't feel enough in control and it bugs me. So screening and answering emails are highly time consuming jobs, throw in there my marketing and advertisement, renewing my pictures often enough... Now if I have to play receptionist on top of it I quit! I take only a couple appointments per day even while on tour so there is no reason to have to call each other even if someone is running 15 mins late; I can wait and chat my friends up on Skype during that time. When I was only running my agency and not touring myself I didn't mind answering the phones; I actually liked the first hand contact with clients but now that I tour again it's just too much work. My 2 cents:)

Happy hobbying!

Only had one experience with this.  Up through the night before everything went fine, but I had concerns about the last minute details for the next day.  The day of the appointment I tried to contact her by email as she requested (from my iPod) but was unable to get the hotel WiFi or any other open WiFi from the parking lot (I'm not gonna sit in the hotel lobby trying to wrap up the final details of the appointment over WiFi).  The only way the appointment came through was I texted a mutual friend (from my cell phone) who I knew had her number, she texted the girl, the girl texted my friend back, then my friend texted me.  Voila!  A room number!

Maybe if you've got 3G/4G on your mobile device and you can email over phone towers, that might work.  But relying on last minute open WiFi availability, that sucks.

of COURSE she has a phone. BUT - you will not get the number until you pass her screening. That makes her safer, makes you safer.

Email is the number one best way to establish contact with a provider who is new to you. The *only* way I will do it. No phone calls (unless we've established trust by email first).

AND

ABSOLUTELY NO "contact" forms. No way to know whose server those things are sitting on...

Well, Senator, that's good to hear that there are plenty of providers who play by your rules.  (Of course I have no idea in which part of the country you hobby, and that can make a big difference in how amenable providers are to strict rules like the one you lay down.  But I like your system.  Emailing providers doesn't sit right with me.

I'm curious, though.  What did you do when you were a newbie and didn't have any references?  How did your first couple providers screen you?  Did you email those first couple, with your real name and work info.?  Did you join a verification site like P411?

I used my aide's name. I personally confirmed his job when she called.I would never use a verification site. Its another  paper trail.
I borrowed a copy of my aide's ID and used that at first greeting. With the new IDs, no one looks like their photo. After I had seen a couple providers the rest of them know me by my TER handle,"CorruptionRules"

That's why I love this job; you can do whatever works for you, set your own terms and have peace of mind. For myself, since I'm low volume (never have to regulate traffic) and I see many regulars so I give the room number way ahead of time and make sure I'm fully ready so there's absolutely no need for calling unless the gentleman has a severe accident or heart attack on his way but then he doesn't need to call me he needs to call 911 :) Most people have blackberries or such device so it never really create a problem and if I loose business because of it I'm ok with that because running my business my way makes me a much better happier provider and my service probably reflects it.

Yes, it works like this. If outcall, they will call you blocked when they arrive. If incall, they will call you blocked at the appointment time. I've seen 2 ladies this way and would probably never do it again because it is too annoying.

Early on in taking up the hobby, I used my regular email address to communicate with a very well known provider/PS.  (Now, I exclusively use gmail if I need to email.)  Anyway, I recently got an "update" communication from her to my address (which also posts my actual name) .  This email included the addresses of about a hundred others that she was cc'ing, many of which also had actual names posted  Needless to say, I contacted her to plead for future discretion through bcc'ing, but who knows what damage could already be done.

the lady uses a two-call system for incall or so I have a number to let her know I'm on my way and will be there is 30 minutes.  The exception of course is in case of emergency such as running late or need to cancel for a legit reason.

However, doing a mailing with other people's info is very poor judgement. Having a separate email address for the hobby is key. I only ask to verify with a work related email address through a generic email account of mine for gents without references. Also, I take the reference system very lightly for 2 reasons:

1-A cop can have sex with a provider and arrest her after or use her for further reference. In court who will have more credibility: a cop or a provider?

2-All the misfortunes I had as an agency owner or as an indy came from very well referenced gents. The way a guy behaves with a provider is not representative of how he will continue to behave in the future.

Also, if a provider likes a client it doesn't mean I will like him and vis versa.

Sorry, I'm getting off topic here but I thought it was worth mentioning as I had a few bad incidents lately with gents with great well known providers references. Not the providers fault, it's just how the cookie crumbles.

It's been the subject of other posts, but a well known agency (MGF) is email only and several people, myself included, were stood up by their failure to provide critical info at the right time: No Email No Show (NENS). Another recent attempt to get info about a touring MGF got no reply. I'm kind of down on email as the ONLY contact right now.
