Since I RARELY have clients to my home, I use hotel accomodations for incall. I have a $50.00 fee in ADDITION to my regular fee for service. This is to cover the cost of the hotel and I am almost always in the red on this. Unfortunately, even a motel 6 in the Palm Springs area is more than $50.00 a night. Whenever possible, I will request the client pay for the room himself.

I don't know what other way is fair. Any suggestions?

The provider should provide and pay for the room if she is keeping the room.  There are some ladies who either ask for a longer minimum to cover the cost or a small additional fee to cover the cost (if the room was rented just for you). You should absolutely be informed of this when booking the appt though.

If the provider only does outcall and she tells you to get a room in order to see her be prepared to pay for the room yourself.

Play safe,
Kelli

Here is what I do!  Since I do not offer 1st time appointments at my location, AND,  my place is VERY very small.  I have developed this policy!

1) If you book an extended party, I will absorb the room costs!

2) If the client requests a specific property, I may ask him to split the costs with me!  Even on an extended party booking!(depending on hotel & location)

3) If I "re-Book"/"re-use" the room (ie: 1 appt., on Check-In afternoon, and a 2nd appointment for the following Morning)  I will generally cover the room cost! (provided I have both appointments confirmed)

4) If I decide that I PREFERR(for whatever reason) to see the client at a hotel, Again, I'll pay.

BUT

5) On 1st Appointments, I usually require the client reimburse me the hotel costs.  This helps to reassure me that the potential client is serious. (If he agrees)

6)For basic 1Hr appointments. I require the client to cover the room costs.  (i think that is only fair) I do take the time to find it, reserve it, and check in early.

And any other situations I handle as they arise.
