Just because a person doesn't express himself/herself well, in writing or speech, doesn't mean they're dumb. I've had doctors and even rocket scientists write to me...I thought they HAD to be lying about their occupations because they wrote like little kids. There was an engineer in a mandatory writing course I took in college. You'd think he was the dumbest kid on earth, from his writing, but trust me when I say that there was no way he was dumb to get accepted into that program.

Anything light colored makes me look like a twinkie hehe.

Unless that person is doing ALL of your email exchanges, and board postings, your ignorance will come out once you post. You can fake being educated (look how many grad students we have that can still manage to post on TER every day and tour around the world lol) but you can't fake intelligence...well, maybe to an extent. You can go read up on some topic and do nothing but yap about it making you seemingly versed on that subject, but you better pray your guy does not ask about something else lol.

But yea, the presentation should back up the proclamation, and so many can't see how ignorant they look when they do nothing but contradict their claims. If you are selling a fantasy, at least have the common sense to keep it consistent, or just don't say anything. I wonder if some people realize just how stupid it looks to others. For instance, if all I did was brag about how elite, low volume, and exclusive I was, that LAST thing I would do is toss my website link in every post and beg clients for business at every turn. If you're so damn exclusive and low volume, you would not need to beg for business. Marketing 101.

But when I attended my first Mensa meeting, I didn't really enjoy it, and never went back.  

If constant posting turned into business, I might actually work lol. I have had a ton of inquiries based on my postings, but from guys 2000 miles away, asking "when will you be in x city?"  Unless they are paying to fly me there, not gonna happen so it's actually more annoying than prosperous for me. I post for shits and giggles...nothing more, and have always been that way. The first board I owned a sub forum on, I only had 20 reviews in the 3 years I posted.  

I am wearing white right now. but in my defense they are the only long pants I packed when I left for Costa Rica last week, and although I am back in the states, I still haven't made it home yet. So, white pants it is. lol

BTW I am sure you look much better in white than I do, but I agree about asians as blondes, there isn't one in a thousand that can pull it off. Usually they end up with that "Hey GI, fuckee suckee long time" look to them.

I have much more enjoyable conversations with them then with the people I work with in my office, most of whom do have college degrees.

So, I don't agree that posting equates to business (though it can) nor do I agree that posting too much decreases it either...maybe in my case lol.  I am fully aware that my posting style has cost me a lot of business, but I also don't care. I am not here to cater to the masses. It has also brought me business (oddly) in the past. If I needed more, I would post new photos and make my site visible again...not gonna happen. I would also make it a hell of a lot easier for guys to book with me, and stop raising my rates. I just started requiring a deposit too, so ALL of those things combined actually drive men away...yes, I am well aware of that, and so are guys.  

I have had intellectual, well educated friends who spoke things way out of context. Things that I had studied and been trained in for years. (Ministry/bible being one of them). When I would gently correct them, using references, I got sooooo annoyed when they would pull out the 'education' card on me, saying, "You're not intellectual like me.
