I see plenty of no content posts; you know those with -e or eom in the subject line...

Yet they show in the tree with 5, 10, 20, 30... 100 views.

So why are people clicking them when we all know there is no content in the message box?

Are we so curious about the provider's or hobbyist reviews?

Apologies if this is a well-worn thread....

Now many times a poster will put other stuff in a post with an -eom-

Let's see how many look at this post which clearly has -EOM- three times  LOL

...and if it's a handle not recognized is it an alias. I have from time to time looked at an eom post and found something there. It's also a quick way to access and PM the person.

Will click the wrong post, that's one reason.

...or if you are frenziedly reading a thread, where two posters are having an interesting back & forth.

I used to do it so the post would change color on my screen, from green as *unread* to red as a *read* post. I also would rarely if ever click on my own posts, that way they would be noticeable on my screen as the only green posts remaining.

Hey, you asked. lol
