What do you guys think of them?
Are they a fun party, or a sad group of shy dudes hiding in a corner?
Is it mostly the grey hair, rolex crew?
I like the idea of being able to meet potential dates but don't want to stick out too much.
I don't have Velcro on my sneakers, but am not a high roller by any means.
I'm also probably a little younger than your average hobbyist.
Would they even let me into one?
I would guess you need an invitation.

I'm not a party person to start with, but the ones I attended in Chicago (hosted by a very nice guy named Kwasi who operates a couple of hobby sites himself) were very nice with good people, lots of gals and great food and spirits.

I also attended on in Denver a long time ago.  It was OK except the music was a bit loud.

I shy away from attending any in my backyard as I have a fear of running into someone I would know from business, and I don't need that.

Many use them as a way to see if the gals who are there are anything remotely close to their pics.

And sadly...many are not.

But from what I have heard...great way to save money by not having to spend bucks on a gal that isn't all that and then some.

Or...from the other POV...you can size up the "competition".  And then go home feeling like you are a stud!

I had one in New Orleans before and I have been to another in Manhattan...both were the only type I would ever go to. I want to be able to control the type of people who are invited, and no...would never charge a dime for anyone to attend. For mine, I provided all the food and alcohol out of my own pocket, and very few people showed up. For the one in Manhattan it was only a group of us who decided to meet for one night of fun, but the girls worked the rest of the trip.

You just never know who you can trust, as a married man I could not imagine you guys would take the risk of someone snapping photos, etc. I like them if they are controlled.

Exactly! I have a picture in my mind of a dark basement hall with a bunch of dudes sizing each other up at a small bar with a crappy bartender.
Yes lots of women to meet, but not a party per say. More like a creepy business meeting. No thanks!

Then I think it could be a party! Live music, drinks, food, and a general good time. Something like what bond007 is talking about.
I guess both probably exist.

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Would the screening process for gentleman be similar to what you would do if some one was going through verification to have an appointment with you? Also how many women did you need affirmative verification from before you rendered an invitation?

It would be fun for a bunch of us to get together some time.
Get to find out that we are all pretty cool and nothing like our board persona. ( i would hope that's true )

including Bond's which are first class events. I have never been to one in a dark basement hall. The hosts/hostesses normally go to great lengths to put on a first class party. And if they were held in a dark basement, it wouldn't  take long for word to spread and the host/hostess wouldn't be holding anymore M&Gs.

That's without doubt, the biggest advantage of attending a M&G. And I've heard the same, that very few resemble their pics. What a shocker

... and will not plan to in the future.

Not after reading about what happened at another Meet & Greet (in May 2012) in Cleveland where another review board's owner got busted for "promoting" prostitution.

Too close for comfort.

I'll just stick with one-on-one meetings.

I don't mind bantering about this with others on a board or via email, but I have absolutely no (actually, less than no) interest in meeting other clients face to face.

I don't want to know that there was a client before or after me, so why I would want to meet them in person to talk with chicks who are offering their wares?

If it were a private meet/greet with me and a buncha girls, that's one thing.  But meeting other guys?  Nope.

No offense to those who like it, but not for me.  Just like some guys like prostate massage or getting their assholes licked.  Not me.  But kudos to those who enjoy it.

will be screened. One of the biggest reasons to attend is you can see what the ladies look like in person and not rely on photos from her web site. A 2nd advantage is some ladies will travel several 100 miles to attend a M & G which gives you a change to meet somebody from another area for playtime.
