TER General Board

LOL. I already use that term for something else. EOM

I recently ran across a wonderful gal who somewhat took offense to the term. She seemed to feel that it was indiscrete to use on a message board.

What term do you prefer?

What term or description would be more discrete? I suppose in this forum, we could simply say "ladies." Is "girls" ok?

there is nothing wrong with "provider" it is not as nice as companion or courtesan, but better than "hoe" "whore" "slut"

Girls, chickies, babes can be used as well as long as they are intended to be affectionate.

Obviously, I can't say "ladies are better than ordinary ladies." I'm not trying to rewrite the language, or reinvent the vernacular of the sex industry.

But then again, why not? If there's a better way to communicate, why not? If there are words that can change a society’s perception, or even one person's attitude, towards another person, or group of persons, then why not?

At the very least, why not explore it and try to understand it better?

"Provider" sounds like a medical term.

In thumbing through the HMO directory, I found a provider on Mulberry Hill. She was an MD with a background in biogenetics and they made me fill out forms in the office for over an hour. The DNA sample was taken down at Good Shot labs and I was on my way in another hour. Overall, it was a decent "provider" experience but my options were limited because the "provider" I really wanted to see wasn't taking new patients. Considering the copay was a mere $$, all in all, I'd rank it an 8.

Either that or I expect to see the word "Host". Smacks of "client/server relationship". Provider/host and webmaster coupling. Might as well throw in a dedicated server for a 3some and FTP everyone into orgasmic bliss. Either way, the length of the IP isn't important. Just be sure to clean out your kash before he gets there. You might be transfering some sizable bandwidth. No need to check stats. Just feel your way in the dark abyss and remember to upload code in ASCII which is pronounced Ass Key.

I am turned on by any lady who knows her ASCII from her Ass Key. You must be a true KBE (key board experience). Maybe you're a GBW (geeky beautiful woman). Do you LWPTC (load web pages to completion)?

heather, come over here and slide your ascii over my hexadecimal.

as aristotle might say, to name a thing you must know what it is capable of. i think "provider" just means "capable of" without saying, *of what*.

i suspect we don't say *of what* not because it's indiscreet, but because it's impossible to describe. does anyone know what "providers" are capable of? i don't.

but it's something like: cuts through every ego bullshit layer of self deception and illusory half truth, and makes me totally naked, and then meets me there.

i used to think that if i had intense fantasies and obsessions about a lady after an encounter, it was because she was so hot. wrong. it was because she held something back, didn't take something all the way.

instead of "provider," or "escort," i want to say something foreign and animal sounding ... but men shouldn't be choosing the label, anyway.

so i just use whatever the lady prefers. the best ones don't want to put names on it, imo ... they just get to it.

I use the term "My Lady."  Upper case starting each word.  In direct semiotic contridiction to my "research" post in the thread above which, guaranteed, someone will have taken too seriously.
