This question is for hobbyist and providers.  
I have been doing my research & not sure if it matters to much but then again it probably does matter if you are trying to profit the most when it comes to providers and for hobbyist I am sure it probably effects your availability as well so here goes my question.

 
Do you prefer schedules or booking daily?
Would you like to see when I provider is coming to your city and when she will return and where she is going next or would like to just put a request in and she sees you.
 I have notice plenty of ladies like having a schedule and tour because it keeps them organized but I have also seen other providers say they prefer to just book daily without a schedule, so wherever you are they will host for you or do a outcall.  
For example Looking in Manhattan you will see ladies saying available  booking/daily and contact me. I assume when you contact them they are available  and then they will choose a incall location for you or do a outcall. Either way when you contact them they are available but then you have some that list there entire schedule for example  Ohare December 3rd- 8th, next Downtown Chicago December 8th- 15th (which I like because it keeps everything organized)
I would really like to get this conversation going especially here on this board where I can get everyone's opinion, I really hope I have explained this the best way possible lol.

Or if you are maybe misunderstanding the wording that some ladies use?

There are ladies who do not have set "schedules" and will take same-day requests, but that doesn't mean they won't also refuse a date for a week from now.  I'm sure there are some ladies who will ONLY take same-day dates, but if we're talking providers posting on the TER Ad Boards, I'd guess they're in the minority.

My site explains that I'm in a certain area when at home, and my weekly schedule is posted on my Schedule page.
I also have my Tour Dates listed there too.  

This does not mean that I'm not also "available daily", if I'm understanding you correctly. That is, just because I have my schedule posted, does NOT mean that I require clients to BOOK in advance.  

Whether I'm at home or on the road, I do accept same-day requests.  Advance bookings are highly preferred, especially when I'm travelling, but I don't require it.  

What I'm trying to say is that this isn't usually a one-or-the-other type of thing.  That is, just because someone doesn't have a schedule posted does not mean she won't accept advance bookings.  Likewise, someone with her local and tour date availability posted in advance doesn't necessarily require advance bookings.  

 
Now, if you mean that some ladies don't post their TRAVEL or TOUR DATES in advance, that they just show up and make themselves available....... I don't see that very much, honestly.  Usually, the ladies advertise their tours in advance SOMEWHERE, even if they don't put it on their own site or here on TER until their arrival.  (Or at all!)

Many ladies will post Tour Dates on their own websites as well as the ad sites.  Some will even start advertising in each local area several weeks prior, including updating the appropriate TER Ad Board every 7 days.

I think it's personal preference on both sides, depending on many other things - job, family, holidays, school, etc. We all know those can fluctuate. Just do what works for you to start and tweak things from there. Obviously markets have differing schedules depending on if it is a vacation destination, downtown city or suburbs.  

Research your markets, do what works for you based on the parameters. Then tweak if needed!

Sorry if I explained it wrong lol I was trying to get it out.
Well here's the thing, My friend told me that she prefers to not have a schedule at all.  
For example - she lives in Ohare and when she advertises she just says booking daily or by appointment only so guys from  Ohare, oakbrook and all over chicago request her and she just sets up a incall wherever they want her to go by booking a hotel and if they guy is open to a outcall then she will go to his place so for example in the morning she will be in oakbrook for one guy then at night go to ohare for another then the next day maybe oakbrook again for another, you get my picture pretty much she is driving a lot meet everyone's request, she explained to me having a schedule she could miss people.  

Now how I see it is that I like to have a schedule showing my upcoming cities and If the guy misses me when I am in his city then he just has to miss me and I will return.  
We pretty much ended up discussing provider " business" today and which " idea" profits the most so it sparked this conversation lol, I also sparked it to see how hobbyist felt too.

OK, so what you're saying is that your friend will not accept advance bookings, that she is same-day-request only?

In the Chicago area, that definitely works, as many clients in that area prefer to book same-day.

Just because SHE does it that way, doesn't mean you have to too.  
If you want to put your schedule up on your site in advance, no matter whether you are at home or on the road, go for it!

I'm not sure what that has to do with "if he misses you, then he just misses you" but advertise and schedule yourself in the way YOU want, according to what works best for YOU.  

If you want to have a set schedule, that you make public for potential clients to see, then do it.  If you just want to say, "Ask me to see if I'm available when you want!", do that.   Some ladies say they can be available 24/7 with enough notice.

That was said because in our conversation this morning she said by having a schedule it is almost forcing guys to see me when I say I AM available and  it may not work for some guys because they may not be available when I am. Being that Chicago is a fast major city.  
in Chicago area plenty of guys just book when they can which is usually same day. Now I am not sure of this personally but  I'll admit she does get a lot of same day request, so basically since I am not open that method I that I told her if they guy misses my touring dates in Ohare then there is nothing I can do about it,  he will just have to wait until my return to Ohare because I can't do what she does, for me it's a lot of running around, sometimes she runs to ohare 3 times a day back and forth setting up incalls ( technically I can but just rather not) and I think everybody has to find there own way in this hobby.

I definitely agree with you about it being up to the person.

OK, so you're not talking about touring to different cities (like Atlanta, NYC, etc which is what "touring" typically means), but being available in different regions/areas/suburbs of the SAME city?  That being, Chicago?

 
Well..... in Chicagoland, most ladies are available only in one or two areas on a regular basis.  I have a VERY set schedule and yeah, it does "force" guys to either see me during the times I'm available and in the ONE location where I host, or not see me at all.  
It works for me.  

BUT having a schedule doesn't mean that clients CANNOT book on the day-of.  Plenty do.  

In other words, speaking only specifically for myself: I'm only available in Schaumburg; the schedule posted on my site will typically say my hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.   So guys can email me on Sunday for a date on Wednesday; or they can email/text me on Wednesday to see if I'm available at the time they want that same day.
If I'm available, I'm available.   You see what I mean?

It's not one or the other: having a schedule posted doesn't cause me to lose same-day bookings.  Yes, it means that guys looking ONLY for a provider in Oak Brook or O'Hare won't see me, but that's ok.   I'm not going to play revolving locations every day. That would not work for me.  

From what you're saying, your friend will run all over the Chicago area doing outcalls here and there, even getting a hotel room in different areas based upon request?  Wow.  That is not typical.  And good for her if she's making it work!!
But it's definitely not for everyone.

As to outcalls: just post what areas you'll do, and which you won't.  Or you can be available to all areas, with varying travel fees depending on how far you have to drive.  

Think long and hard about all of this, and figure out your own preferences.

I definitely agree that why is it always good for me to open up and get ideas from both providers and hobbyist. Honestly I am learning different strokes for different folks and as long as it works for the person then everything will be fine. My friend has got something amazing going for her when it comes to her business but for me my plan works best.

I have my "go to" list but I prefer schedules when they have arrived.

I post a schedule on my ter ad and I use the P411 calendar(for P411 members ) to see my availability.
On my Ter ad I post availability for the week on my P411 calendar I post my schedule for the month and maybe perhaps earlier part of next month.
Being that I am not a regularly touring provider I do not have a schedule for other cities besides my home base.But I could see how it would be helpful to a touring provider to post the cities and dates she will be in town.Or maybe a little note to say even though her schedule is stated on ads and/or website to contact provider just to verify she is in fact in a certain town on a particular day.
I have had quite a few gents comment on the schedules I post on my ad that it was helpful to them it lets them know the day and times I am available
Of course schedules are subject to change so it is always great when a guy sends a pm or email to ask about availability.

the organized schedule.  Generally, I like to schedule a couple days in advance because it just seems to work better for me.  Take for instance today...there is no one on TER/p411 that is visiting my area, so my only option is to start making calls and hope for a call back and an appt.  Don't really care for this approach due to my work schedule, but what you gonna do?
