Yes I would have to agree, that IF she is able to show she is a "dis-abled" provider, then just maybe the Americans With Disabilities Act for equal access would fly...like maybe her Yoni is broken....or maybe she has an Allergy To Sex (ATS), or Orgasm Deficit Disorder, better known as "ODD". Maybe she is just a Fridged Bridgette that just can't find the Right Rigid Digit? What do I know? :)

I posted this on the San Diego board, but felt I might need a larger audience (Levendi, where are you?).  I was contacted by a well known San Diego rip off, no touch dancer about advertising on SouthCoast VIP.  I sent her an email explaining that we didn't really have a category for the type of service she provides and therefore would be unable to accept her ad.  She became quite indignant, and said her "legal counsel" would be told and would be in contact with me very soon.  This is my reward for wanting to keep out the con artists and rip offs.  Unbelieveable!  Any legal minds out there that can offer some advice?  Sedagive.

I would think you have the right to refuse ads from
anyone, for no reason at all!

Maybe start a section called "Not Full Service"

muhahahaha

Nothing to worry about at all. There is no law that I have ever heard of that prevents anyone in the Good Old US of A from excercising their right to refuse service to anyone at will. Especially a directory. You have more room to work with than just about anyone, as you have a right to protect your clientele from the ravages of the ripp off's. Now if it were a civil rights matter, or race matter, you know like descrimination, that would be different, but if it's who I think (Brid...or Aust...), then she/they don't have anything to litigate. Relax. Let her blow her smoke, and if she wants to play ball, we can always start a quick database review site in SD dedicated to the all show no go providers and there dangling carrot acts. I hate it when I can never get to the carrot too. Send me private e-mail,and I will give you more details. Chow!

under the Americans With Disabilities Act for equal access?  That is her problem isn't it (NSF)?  (-:

DateAMan, that last one still has me laughing...
where's my depends?

Sed,

From a standpoint of legal posturing, you could always show that you were willing to compromise and offer to place her add in a new section titled "Rip Off's"! :-D

I think that is a tribute to how good your site must be!
Just think if not being on Southcoastvip is going to hurt her business, then you have done everything right.

Sevreal directories that I have been in ask for refrences that are varifiable as to the profesional creditials of the person wanting a listing. Maybe you just need to ask for a couple of links to some positive reviews... hehehe

Businesses reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Just don't be arbitrary and caprecious in your decisions. Don't discriminate against people for reasons having to do with race creed, color, religion (or lack of religion), age, sexual orientation, familial status or national origin and you are fine. Keep notes of such conversations. "Business exception records" are extremely helpfull later if she foolishly pursues legal action.

The reasons you gave for refusing her business fall well outside unlawful activity.... Ironic, Eh?

This falls under "sexual orientation"?
As in the clients are oriented to having sex and she is not?

Just thought I would slip that in here....

Well Sedagive, please allow me to be the front line for the Oakland Raiders and I am assuming that the person(s) in San Diego you are referring to are Bridgette with maybe Austin in the background waiting to see what happens:  Ladies-GET LOST!! YOU ARE BOTH LOSERS WHO OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLEASE MEN!! I have not read one positive review on either of you and the fact that you don't want to do anything illegal is bullshit!!! The fact that you ply these boards with your PHONEY ADS and otherwise BULLSHIT REPLIES TO E-MAIL tells it like it is.  I have one remaining question;  Bridgette, How do you pay your legal counsel anyway?  Love and (if you know how) kisses, Levendi

Right on. I am glad I'm not the only one that can see a Fake, a Fraud, and a two bit Broad, as in B & A of San Diego infamy. They talk and advertise the right talk, but do not have a clue as to how to walk the walk. I wonder if they just do each other, exclusively? Or is it that they just don't do each other either? That would be a just matching! Life is too short.... So... Don't worry...Be Happy.... and forget about the Rif Raff Ripp Offs! Tha's just my opinion. But...what do I know?

Anyone would be very hard pressed to discover actionability in your discourse.  What yu have expressed (keep the records) is a shortcoming of your business model, not a negative indication of the customer's business practices.  Sleep well.

I learned a long time ago (from an attorney) that you can sue anyone you want as long as you have the time and money to do so. Now will she do it... doubtful. But you could always make a requirement of advertising on your site that you have to have references. Now where might those come from??? Just my 2 cents!
