to have published the man's name and address!  wow, and if the man was disabled enough, was there a crime?  how do the cops know that he did not make up his story?  This really says we gotta get our priorities straight...

and the comments! wow.  Some people have zero compassion.  sad that.

This was a doughnut munchers delight.  It took absolutely no effort and made him feel like he  really was king of the hill. Cops are generally extremely lazy and they love this sort of situation. The cop ought to get a lifetime membership in Moron's Anonymous right after he gets a boot in the ass.

I don't know what's more outrageous, citing an obviously learning-disabled man, who might not have the mental capacity to understand the impact of his actions, or of LE citing a man for an offense which any court will immediately throw out on its own motion; where a) you cannot conspire with yourself to commit a crime, and b) cannot produce "Victoria" for cross examination.

Both the newspaper and LE should be ashamed of themselves here.

Reading the article clearly shows what is wrong with todays society.

We give the media too much of a pass for doing a shoddy job.  Not verifying facts,  reporting what they wished to have happened rather than just exactly what happened....  really, the cops were bad, but I gotta wonder, why did the media print the guys address?  What purpose did that serve?
