Keep things private

Guys,

I do not understand why anyone would not exercise some caution when participating in this hobby.  Everything should be private.

You can get a burner phone at Target for cash.  They range from $20 to $100 depending on a flip phone or smart phone.  Annual fee for enough text and voice is maybe $100 cash for a refill card.  No tracing back to you.

Google email is best.  Yahoo is full of junk.  But either, create a secret name  email address using the burner phone number.   Logon to the web or email.

When signing up for TER, use this information.  Do all communications with providers on this email and phone.

This is not a big deal to setup and use and cheaper than a single visit.  But someday you will thank my for the advice, because it could cause a disaster if anyone found out about your hobby.

Best of luck.  And be safe.

someone in another post alluded to getting an email with the email addresses of other guys ....   yes that happens, sadly a lot of ladies had to learn what a blind CC is the hard way.   one email i received from one girl had over 100 other guy's emails ..    the fascinating thing was seeing the obvious play ones vs corporate ..     ie  [email protected]    vs    [email protected]        hope Robert learned a lesson not to use his biz email for hobbying !!!

so please guys ..  create an anonymous email for the hobby .... words to the wise !   even if you think your spouse will never see your email account.

Since I am not cheating on anyone and I own my own company and additionally I am not the least bit ashamed about paying for pussy, I don't bother with a "hobby e-mail"

A word to the wise for those of you who do care however. I have been "outed" several times by people wishing to do me harm, and not for anything I have actually done to them, they just don't like what I have to say right here on the TER discussion boards. So if you DO have anything to hide and  anyone you need to hide it from I would STRONGLY advise you to take NTL's advice. People/hookers will try to do you harm for the least perceived transgression, don't make it easy for them to do so. Some of the people who have tried to do me harm were in fact "well reviewed TER providers"

I am one of those guys. Although I don't own the business I am the boss. I do not use company email to conduct any hobbying activity. I also do not have a special email for this and really don't care who finds out that I do P4P.

Which explains why you posted under an alias.

GaGambler256 reads

If you click on a handle and it has the option to "send mail" that means the poster is using their "real" fake name. OTOH if you click on a handle and the only option is "see posts" like yourself, than you know the poster is using an alias.

People sometimes think I am posting from behind an alias too, because I don't have any reviews attached to my handle, the reason why of course is that I have never written a review here.

TheVoiceOfReason251 reads

You are right.  I just didn't see any reviews from KJ.  Kinda almost the same thing though arguably if you don't have any reviews.

Hmm ... so you can email someone from your alias, which would allow them to email you back, but they cannot initiate the contact?

What happens if you block/ignore a person?  Are you blocking both their handle and alias?

GaGambler209 reads

I am arguably the most recognized handle on TER, but I don't have a single review to my name.

Actually yes you can both email to and receive from an alias poster.

You cannot block/ignore an alias, clever little fuckers that we are, if we could do so it would make it possible to figure out someone's alias by process of elimination.

And just to show you, You have a PM. lol

TheVoiceOfReason209 reads

Huh.  All these years never gave two shits or had any desire to PM an alias.  I have a buddy who got nervous when he wrote a review under an alias and a lady figured out that it was him.  Same guy later had other ladies incorrectly claim that he reviewed them under an alias when they received a bad review.  Think they blacklisted him/the wrong guy for their bad reviews.  That one lady must have been a blabbermouth and fucked him over.  I guess that is just how it goes down sometimes.

Your right I have never posted a review on here and the answer to that is complicated. I think I joined in 2005 but maybe it was 2010 I can't tell. I've been off and on over the years. Made a few friends not so many enemies.

...A real handle shows in black letters while an alias handle is indicated by gray letters.  Easy peasy.  Phone or computer - doesn't make a difference.

How long have you been on TER, GaG?  Sixteen years?  And you have almost 2,000 posts giving others advice on the Newbie board?  Maybe you need glasses, old timer.

A traveling milf sent an email a few years ago and exposed over 30 people in my city.  Since I always use a monger email and GV, didn't care.  Some of these mongers are using their work email to hobby which included several federal govt employees, wtf!

The provider realized her mistake and first tried to recall, then sent a follow up apologizing for her error.  Haven't seen her show up lately... wonder why?

a separate phone ...not phone number ..  you dont need your phone to ring from your ATF while having dinner with the in-laws!       yes i also have been subject of a girl trying to extort $ from me.     it only takes one, that's what everyone has to remember.

Had providers either apparently sell their list of clients to other providers or give my contact information to other ladies usually ladies new to the business that they wanted to help out and thought that I would like.

I have gotten all replies emails from several ladies who accidently emailed all reply to everyone.
Pretty funny when you get the message and see all the other dudes emails.
Work emails, School emails, personal email you can google and get a hit (lol), and even some idiots that use
they're state or federal gov't emails (SMH) on these guys!

Amazing how powerful the vagina is and what personal info you give out!

yep i have seen the same thing ...  i get a chuckle but at the same time think that poor sob ...  when i see a corporate email address amongst the addresses.

...to use your example, I've received those emails too and some of them had emails like:
"[email protected] (Michael Jones)".  Now that's bad!.
