How long have you been seeing her or, if you've had several, how long do they usually keep that title?
For what reasons do you move on to find another one?
I recently had to cut ties with several long term regulars because of moving to a new city and am just wondering what things could've been like if I didn't

Just met them in August. So far I've been seeing them every other week alternating. Might take a week or two off and see some other girls for variety, but will definitely continue to see them as they are just what I'm looking for.

I'd move on to find a new ATF if they stopped being as good as they are now. If that ever happens I'll be searching again.

I'm lucky to have found them because most of the ladies I like are not based in my city. They just travel and might only be around every few months.

Best to move on when the sizzle is gone! Seeing the same woman regularly for a long period of time is bound to get you bored at some point. I'm close to that point with a couple of my ATF's.

I've had an ATF who I saw a couple of times. But when I suggested lunch just to hang she said it's  a 4 hour date and that snapped me back to reality. I was pissed but I thank hr for that.

You're paying us to act like we would with the man of our dreams, but when it is not about your fantasy you have to actually impress us with something more than a free sandwich. I, for one, am a bitch to date as a civie and demand long foot massages among many other things

I suspect those who have "several ATFs"--especially ones they have seen only once or twice--are using the term very differently from those who have a single ATF at a time, maybe two, and have been seeing he long enough to know the lady behind the mask.  I would not usually equate "long term regular" with "ATF"; certainly not "girl I met a week ago who has the best skills I've ever encountered".

I have two, both I have been seeing for over a decade and it took yers--not weeks--for them to reach ATF status.  Both are my friends as much as lovers now, and I do not see either completely departing my world.  One is now retired and we have moved completely to "friends" status.  Met heer parents, she has stayed at my place for a vacation even when I was out of town.  The other is completely UTR, met her kids, and spent lots of on and off the clock time with her.  Someone might come along to slide them off the ATF platform, but I doubt it for me.

I would point out that papasaan actually has zero reviews, but 10 whitelists.  Push the 1, to see the review.  I suspect the number is there so that one can get to the whitelists.  IMHO that gives him some street  cred.   And there's always the Gambler, whose opinion certainly also has a lot of weight, at least with me.

Yeah, I check the number of reviews too. A lot of the really silly posts seem to come from those with no reviews, whatever their claimed experience. But it does not always tell  the whole story.

There is no rhyme or reason.  It just comes down to how well we get along.

I only find another one when things get old with the current one.

as one can only have one ATF at a time, or so logic would dictate, and I think this is all BP was trying to point out.  Whether a person writes reviews or not is irrelevant to the point here.

In any case, I have one ATF and were going strong now for the last 7 years.

As for favorites, they range all over the place.  I have one going well over 20 years, and several others at 10+ years.  Then there are the favorities that flake after a few months.  It's a real mixed bag.

Not everyone chooses to review or better yet can get their reviews approved. I've been around for a few years now and I still, have yet to understand what it takes to get reviews approved here. I've choosen to not waste my time trying to get them approved anymore and I would guess I'm not the only one with that view.

For the sweet, sensitive guys I have the privilege of meeting. I will go to lunch, I will make breakfast for them, I will hang, but make no mistake, it's all at my asking and if any one of them takes advantage I can very gently snap them back. I am so very grateful for these types of guys so they are well taken care of.

Is there a  downside..sure, they get very attached but I have learned to deal with that. The alternative type of guy is way worse.

I know what types  I could get and that is frightening, so I make sure these great guys are treated more than well.

and in 4 cases because they moved out of the area and retired; the 4th stopped last year to have surgery for a medical issue and bacause of intense LE heat in her locale - I hope she'll be back.
I'd see any of them in a heartbeat if they came back (and one stopped for about 18 months then returned for another span of years, then left again - she was truly my ATF and soulmate, one I'd marry in an instant  if she wanted to).

I currently have one and have been seeing her for about six years.  I've never dumped an ATF, they have all retired.  Based on what I've read here on TER over the years I can see why some guys would either have to dump an ATF or choose not to go that route at all.  I've had some really great long-term favs over the years but there is also something to be said for moving on and finding a new lady or two...

Basically, what will happen is that you mature in the hobby and meet a new woman once in a while who creates some excitement and you move on from the ATF.  Nothing personal, but that is how the mind works.   I suspect that those who are not married are more likely to have long term ATFs.  Those in the married world are not looking for a second wife so we tend to move on quicker.

But I hate the phrase "All Time Favorite". I don't even have an All Time Favorite for anything lol.

To answer your question, since this is P4P, I'm going there for services and companionship, I'm not signing contracts saying I need to see so and so, for X amount of visits. I keep going until I get bored with her, or my desire to see her diminishes. In all seriousness, this is a hobby with LOTS of attractive ladies to choose from. The variety is nice and there's nothing better than opening up the door and having a "New" face welcome you in.

On the other hand, I'm not against ATF's and I do understand guys who have them. Maybe I just haven't found that special lady yet that blows my mind.
