is it me or has the average price skyrocketed? you may remember a few months ago i posted i was in a relationship, well it didnt work out so im back to the hobby, was scoping websites and when i was interested in 1 i saw 1000 dollars for 2 hrs as a starting rate, so i said out of my range, then i saw another one i was interested in and saw 1 introduction hr 400 dollars, im sorry, and im not a cheapo, but i dont remember it being like that, it may have been 2 yrs since ive seen an escort, but with people working less than usual, how do these women expect people to contact them at these prices, just saying

you can't afford, but spare me the cheese and violin act. You're not exactly at a homeless shelter asking for a meal here...it's a piece of ass, that you can do without. If you think the price is too high, keep looking. Seems simple enough for me. I don't think the ladies are going to be lining up to give anyone half off...unless they really need the money lol.

You said the last time you checked prices for escorts was two years ago right? Ever hear of inflation? The economy does not just suck for hobbyists...it sucks for everyone. Providers have the same gas and hotel costs as anyone else, so that has to be taken into account. When I first started, my rate was much lower, and guess what...I was exhausted! So, even if we do go down on the rate, we have to get twice as many clients, which never seems to work.

In recent years, wages haven't gone up while prices have. Promotions are non-existent and one is lucky to even have a job. Who knows what's ahead with sequestration and cuts in government jobs. If they haven't foreclosed on their house, people are upside down in their mortgage. For many of us here, this either translates to less money for the hobby or holding back and saving for other contingencies for that rainy day. Just as many people will turn to immigrant laborers for less expensive domestic and day labor support, I and others are turning to immigrant providers for affordable, competitive service. I've yet to have an American-born provider show me her ID so, as far as I'm concerned,  ALL providers are undocumented. I can find a lady who is feminine, just as hygenic, and works hard at pleasing you (great work ethic!) at an affordable price that allows me to indulge perhaps four times a month vice 1-2 times. Initially, many of them start off under handlers (like an agency) who take a cut and do their postings in English. Eventually, many move on to work independently. Many start out in servicing the immigrant guys working here, and many will move on and go mainstream once they improve their English and realize there's more money to be made than at 15 minute quickies with the lowly paid day laborers. I've seen some quickly learn about free market economics and move on to become higher priced escorts in the >300 range. Still, many wonderful ladies can be seen in the 150-200/hour range.More and more of these girls are being reviewed and are showing up here on TER. What we're seeing is an infusion of cheap(er) competitive labor that may moderate prices. Just like when my grandparents came here over 100 years ago, the status quo was not too enamored with those needing and willing to work for lower wages...but that's how it goes, then and now. For us hobbyists who can't afford the overpriced Cadillac option, you can still get a GREAT ride in the foreign

In any economy you have a percentage of people who are "down on their luck".

And in any economy you have people with more money than they can spend.

From my POV the economy has really improved...and the numbers that are posted are real and accurate.

O'Bama is banking on it...and Romney is hoping to scare more people.

But the reality is that we are most definitely heading to what I believe will be a multi-year recovery that may indeed be dynamic in nature.

Ladies charge what they want to charge...and guys pay what they want to pay.

There are values to be found for both in and outcalls, it may just take a bit of research on your part. I am not rolling in the cash either, so I can choose to hobby less, or hit Backpage more.

So ladies I once saw for 250 are now 300, 300 now 350 etc. The emphasis is on Some ladies. Overall there is no change where I come from. I know things are often area dependent but every time I read a "Hey, anyone notice the prices going up?" thread I have to say No.

At the end of the day a lady has to remember that rate not only dictates how many guys she sees, but "who" she sees.

In some markets my hourly rate is $400/hr, but only $500 for 90 minutes, $600 for 2 hours, and $800 for 3 hours. This is done to encourage LONGER engagements. I almost always have some special rate for those I have already seen before or longer visits. I want to encourage those I already have a good relationship with to return to see me again.

So don't just look at a lady's hourly rate - look at her multi-hour rates, look if she offers current friends discounts. Also, her location, upscale locations/incall, does she clock watch, etc. might be the basis for a slightly higher rate.

Would I see a $1,000 a hour girl? Probably not, but I have to respect the fact that she sets her rate at that, and it wouldn't be at that price, if she wasn't getting business. So more power to her, make that money, that's the name of the game........

And to $400 a hour girls, I wouldn't necessarily consider it "breaking the bank" to see someone at that going rate. It's actually a pretty fixed rate in this "biz".

So, see the girls you can afford, and stop worrying about ones that are out of your budget.

I'm sure these ladies had a slightly lower price in the past, developed a client base, decided to increase their rates, still retained regular customers, and their current rates are for serious clients only -- not just someone who wants a one time thing.

I can only speak for my market, but the rates for the generally accepted definition GFE independent provider have remained relatively flat. But at the same time, three categories expanded. First was the emergence of the high end AMP, which charges twice the typical AMP rate. The second trend was the explosion in new $1000+ providers - both independent, agency and stealth agency. That, in turn created a bridge segment between the average GFE provider and the ultra high end. While these segments may have been market expansive, they did not drive up the rates across the board.

But I'm having no problems finding plenty of ladies in the $300 an hour range and that's where I've been shopping for quite a few years. Not sure where you are.  Some areas do seem more expensive than others...

Check and sign up for P411...There are tons of women in SF. I found 139. Most of them are 300 or more. A few in the 250 range.

You have TONS of choices.

Paying too much for gas?  Well drive a smaller vehicle or carpool.  Out of jobs for 6 months of the year?  Get a part-time job fry cooking or something easy.  Fewer guys in the trades (I know about that too)?  Capitalize on less competition.
As for the hobby there are girls at all sorts of price points starting with the drug addicts that'll do anything for a fix.  If $1000.00 is a squeeze then you obviously are shopping out of your league and it's time to lower your bar on quality or the frequency in which you expect to get laid for cash.
