interestingly Tor came out of a US Navy project...
https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en The "router" reference is to the Onion Router, which was the project's name. Fun example of a product (again) being used by folks other than for the original purpose. But then again, if the US Govt wanted to hide activities, what better place than in the sex-exchange haystack
And only about 23 report eating ginseng and goji berries. I did see one with an email addy of [email protected] I hope that wasn't yours. You still have plausible deniability. If you google TOR you can find out just what the browser does. Many use it for security/privacy.

I'm not too hip to all that tech lingo, but here's my Tor server:
Links down, blocking, but some have it already before they got there. Here is a bit about what is in the dump..... Keep in mind emails used were NOT verified, therefore anyone could use anyone's name or info to sign up. Very large amount of data to sift through, however, sounds like credit card info is linked along with location, stats, very personal info that would be easily recognizable to SO. I won't post link to read detailed info, this is going to wreck lives and maybe worse, so my conscience says no. It will however be out there soon enough...

Not only that but it is strictly against TER rules to post such a link. Doesn't matter if it's all over google, TER doesn't allow links naming names and outing personal info. Posting such a link on a TER board could get you moderated, or cause you to lose your posting privileges.
You have to click the link a bunch of times before the download starts. There internet might crash tonight. When it first started it said 11 weeks, now it is down to 1 days. Macaroni jones I can't believe how many peers they have wow !!!
They will have to unplug the internet to prevent the downloads. People via curiosity will figure things out and download. This is pretty bad. Looks like they have released a dump of all the email messages.
Why in the world would AM keep seven years of credit card transaction data? Makes me wonder what TER (and other sites) vulnerabilities are and what they retain? No one is hack proof. (I am starting to look over my shoulder now!)
Fortunately, I am single, and thus am disqualified from membership there. Other articles elsewhere indicate that the hackers are going after SA and other affiliated websites that are run by the same Canadian company. More damage is likely.
Bottom line...it's good to be single, and having no exposure to this. And the fall-out from the AM debacle will be good for the lawyers...far better than their clients on both sides.
