It's the thought that counts

I have this motto

If a thought comes to mind and it is nice, why not say it and make someones' day.

So many times it goes without being said.

On the other hand...keep those mean thoughts in your head. Sometimes just thinking them is enough. No sense in spoiling someones' day.

So I thank you guys for the compliments. I also know how great it feels to desire someone from afar and even to fantasize about them. It's those kind of thoughts that put a smile on your face and pave the way to tomorrow.

I was just out running a few errands and in the parking lot at Target I saw a fella. He was dressed in his work clothes and for some reason I thought about the fellas that have visited me bearing gifts....some from Target in fact!!

I thought about how cute they must have looked when they were making their purchases. The smiles that might have been crossing their faces as only they knew where the gifts were going and why!!

I thought about those gorgeous heels from Bebe and what that must have looked like when he was buying them for me.
All those bouquets of flowers and thank you notes, candy, gift cards, perfume, wine, vodka, stuffed animals, toys, breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, stockings, jewelry, Sexy Victoria Secret...

The list is endless and I haven't even touched the sports souvenirs or the toys for tots or the back-to-school supplies I collected for my charity work.

The fact that you were thoughtful and took the time to make our/MY time more special is priceless. And for me the added benefit is that I still appreciatte you and thinking about it is in itself a gift.

By living those words I have learned to not only think before I speak, but to let someone know if I have a positive thought about them.  It's amazing how many people are taken aback when you pay them a compliment. Especially strangers...  Next time you see a mom in a store and her children are being well behaved, tell her so.  After she gets the look of shock off her face, she will be smiling for the rest of the day, knowing that the extra time and pain it takes to discipline is paying off.

I just stopped at the liquor store to pick up a nice bottle of wine to share with a fine escort this evening.

The clerk could probably tell by my grin that I have a hot date coming up.

She said:  "Have a lovely dinner tonight."

I guess it's true what they say about a woman's intuition.

Usually if you are picking up a single bottle of wine it is to drink with a dinner that evening.   I seriously doubt that she figured out anything more than the fact that you were having dinner that evening with the previously mentioned bottle of wine.

...It never ceases to amaze me how people read too much into what people say as standard conversation...

I would love to think they both had a twinkle in their eyes.

And here is another fine example.

I love chocolate eclairs. Our local grocer bakes them and my BF buys them for me. He mentioned to the baker HOW much his gf loves them...with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He buys them for me often.  :)

Last night the bakery was closed and the deli was closing. My BF went to the manager to see if he could get those eclairs he saw in the bakery case. And once again he told the manager how happy I would be to have those eclairs.

You can put a smile on someones' face any ole time you choose to. You get out of life what you put forth.
Sure sometimes we are full of it.

The it is LIFE.

I am sure that the gal in the wine shop had no clue the gent was seeing a provider. What she sensed was a happy guy and a bottle of wine..and that appears to have looked like a wonderful evening in the making.

I too would welcum the opportunity to say "you're welcome" while we are in each others arms after round #1.  You have wisdom beyond the normal expectation level.  

Ever think about traveling to Florida for a winte or spring break?
