I don't feel or see more right this moment, but it varies moment to moment in my city. Today's influx, another day's exodus to Other Things, and so on. Plus, it's all relative: I think some of us that remember working in the Panic of 2008's wake feel any 'competition' is nothing compared to those tough years.

I've noticed this too... There's so many girls over the last few years that have embraced their sexuality by diving into the adult entertainment industry, whether it's films, escorting or dancing.. I would think that for a hobbist, this 'boom' should feel like the release of new toys during Christmas time... However, not only being a provider, but a hobbist as well... I don't get too caught up with the new releases, so to speak.  

As a hobbyist, I do enjoy variety and fresh faces..but what i enjoy even more is consistency, skill and professionalism. Got a girl to see me the other day and my intentions during this session were to sit back and indulge in sparkling conversation before i devoured her. She sat there unaware of how to host a guest as if she'd never been out in the world before. Needless to say..it felt as if i were the one working that night. I sparked up conversation..I made her smile and blush..I dictated everything from beginning to end and by the time she left, I was exhausted.  

If I got anything from this expierence, it's that a billion new girls can start every year...but only a few are actually good at what we do. A pretty face is nice and all but if I wanted to put in work, I'd go to the cubby hole downtown and fish for a lipstick lesbian.  

I've been in this for only 2years and during that time, I've seen plenty of girls come and go. I've noticed it's mostly due to unrealistic expectations.  

No one is my competition because even if you put me in a line up of a dozen fair skinned, big boobed Latinas...we're all different. We have different personalities; some of us will give great head others won't; some of us offer things others don't; and the way we connect to other human beings is unique. Be confident in who you are and what you're good at and it shouldn't matter how many girls come and go.. Besides.... I get more pride in being a consistently good provider over being a new pretty face.

And certainly, there are ladies who have a 'niche' and do great.

long answer:  girls come and go.  new girls pop up and seasoned girls leave.  you should see my list of women who white list me the way i can see it;  i see all the ones who white listed me and who are no longer listed on ter, and most of them are because they are out of the business.  a full 1/3 of my list are no longer working.

the above posters have it right; many women enter this endeavor thinking it's easier than it really is; for one thing, if you want to do it right and excel at it, there's a lot more to it than just the f@king.  in fact, that often times is the least of it.  if clients just wanted a f@k, they could get it else where for much less money and legal risk.

i can't speak for all, but for me it's about actual companionship, human contact, and a few moments of sublime fantasy that i am one of the sexiest people in the world;  not every woman has the patience, skill or even the desire to be able to do that.  and though some can come by that instinctively, most have to learn it, and like everything else, there is a learning curve.

so every year many women leave after finding it not so easy to be great at this.  and every year there's plenty of fresh faces who haven't yet discovered that, like anything else worthwhile in this life, if you want to be great at something, it takes skill, patience, knowledge and hard work

This has been bothering me for awhile now.. The idea that we all regurgitate the same lines to every suitor and that its all mechanical. I've watched a few episodes of that GFE tv show as well as some documentaries and this other tv show called 3AM where they follow around an escort for parts of the program. After watching it I got this  sad feeling of thinking that nothing I do or say is original and that I'm coming off as basic.  

It seems that every conversation these girls were having with their dates were conversations I've had over and over again.. Being an independent provider, I take pride in delivering myself in a way that is authentic to who I am inside. These portrayals of provider life are making it seem otherwise.  

I took ease in realizing after awhile.... The conversations aren't repeated because it's "meaningless small talk".. The conversations seem repeatative because in normal life, that's how we get to know each other.. "Hi my name is... Where are you from?... How was your day?... What do you do outside of this?...  

If a provider told you that you were sexy...then you were probably doing something that turned her on... It's as simple as that! And if she's a bit too theatrical when she's fucking..maybe she's faking it to get the mood elevated which ultimately results in her actually enjoying herself!  

I am an experienced provider; and I'm not saying that I'm washed up because I've fucked all of Manhattan... I'm saying, I've learned quickly (trial and error), I try to be as intuitive as possible and I practice different techniques constantly. Experienced providers have a repertoire of shit they can pull out of their asses.. If she's taking the time to say that you're sexy?! Then believe her..because it's gods honest truth that she could have said or done anything else at that moment if she really wanted to.

Instead of all these providers competing with each other, they seem to be creating a larger market with a wider and wider range of experiences in the offing. So...when I'm looking for erotic amusements, I know exactly where to go to find it.

I think it's good for all of them no matter how many times I see one particular provider. But there are always some I want to see again and again. Those one-off encounters? I can rest assure they'll find other clients from the steady stream of the draw.

I do find it funny that people think that getting laid every other day is a LOT.  

I know that's not what you are saying, you are just commenting on what it costs, but for some of us, this "hobby" is not as expensive as many other hobbies we might have had in the past. Speaking for myself, I used to gamble to excess, I could see a different hooker every day for six months on what I might blow in a single weekend on the tables. Others might have had race cars, or spent big money on a boat or a plane, so a few hundred bucks every day or two pales in comparison to what some of these other hobbies cost.

Hoo!    The influx of touring ladies tell me that providers are trying to market their wares to a larger area.    With limited jobs available dating seems like an easy way to make money.     Lots of students are providing their way through school.    When the market gets flooded providers drop out and lower price.     There is more money for those that remain.     In turn the providers are able raise their prices.    The best providers never miss a beat for their demand stays steady.     Clients leave too when the wares get expensive or their financial position deteriorates.   SUPPLY AND DEMAND.
