On another board in another life, I may have been involved in sharing my opinions of restaurants . A recurring argument is whether the same standards should apply in reviewing a five star, $500pp meal, as to a $2 taco lunch at the lunch truck down the street. Some believe strongly that the criteria (ingredients, technique, flavor, service and atmosphere) never change, mostly people who really do not want to have that $2 taco lunch, while most of the rest of the world knows that you can be wildly happy with that taco meal, but totally disappointed with the same meal if you got it at that fancy place for 100x the price.

Is the same true here? If you got the exact same looks, atmosphere and performance for $200 or $500, would you rate the provider differently? I have not been doing that, but I have begun to wonder if I should. For the higher price, shouldn't I expect a better experience as a starting point? At that $200 point, I am just buying someone's time, whereas at $500, I expect to be pampered.

Not saying that dining and hobbying are the same, even if both are a form of nourishment for this boy's soul.

Started thinking about this while looking at a review of a fairly expensive provider, but I also had two comparable experiences over the last month - one for $250, and one for $500 - and while there were also significant differences in attitude, location, and certain skills (some of which favor one, some the other), I might go back to see Miss $250, but do not expect to see the other lady again. I do not think that is mostly about price, but I would be lying if I said price does not matter in how I view the experiences.

I suppose this question mostly applies to those who actually see ladies at various price points and maybe we are a real minority? Or maybe not. Anyway, do you expect more of something - services, looks, clothing, comfort, conversation, intelligence, professionalism, something else or a combination - from a more pricey provider, and when you review, do you measure her against a tougher standard?

Ladies, please feel free to chime in on this, too, if you like. Curious to hear what people think and what they expect.

Depending on schedule, finances and mood I go to both AMPs (legit ones) and high end salons.

I expect BOTH therapists to have same level of skill. But that's where expectations of the same ends.


I really don't care that AMP two blocks from my house is second floor walk up, with thin separators between walls and self service water cooler. I am there for massage not experience.

When I schedule spa session, I usually call in advance, travel considerable distance and pay min double of what AMP charges.

So I expect not to be waiting for lady to yell out "u go now", built rather be walked into locker area, be offered refreshments and nice robe ... Etc etc etc.

Is therapist working in spa twice better? Not really. U are actually almost guaranteed to get better massage at lower end place. But overall experience is what I pay the extra for.

I do think there's a better basis for comparing providers relative to cost than comparing food.  It almost sounds ridiculous when you write it that way.  I mean, re food, how can you compare a taco to a souffle?  (Now there's an idea!  A taco souffle!). On the other hand, it's possible to be able spend an hour with a gorgeous, sexy woman for $300-$400 and also pay $700-$1000 for someone whose company you would enjoy equally, but not more.  It's also possible to have a lousy experience for $1,000 and a great one for $300.  But as imperfect as any comparison might be, and as much as I recoil from the idea of applying a "price/value" relationship to real human beings, there does seem to be more distortion in this hobby than in other areas.  And then there's the whole YMMV aspect.  So complicated...

Oh I think there should be a stricter standard for the high end providers.   I have never visited any lady who charges above $600 per hour.   So, maybe I am missing out on something.  But, I think your analogy is quite valid.  The same is true for most any other product or service such as cars, hotels, vacations, clothes, haircut, massage.  Lets take the example of a massage therapist, legit ones only.  I have had a fantastic massage for just $50.  The room was sparse, no ambience,  poor business location & the therapist spoke little English.  Never complained about any of that.  But if I am paying $200 for it, I expect and demand 5 star location, top notch ambience, a lounge to relax in & enjoy drinks afterwards and, of course, the flawless skills of the therapist.  Anything less just wont do.
So, yes  different expectations & different standards should apply to the high end providers.

I am trying to recall whether I've had vastly superior sessions with a fast food priced gal over a five star restaurant priced gal, and I think that I have on a few occasions.

One gal I saw in particular really amazed me with her passion and zeal.  What a shame it was back in the day of personal ads and I never found her again.

Overall, there is a rough correlation to price and quality, but like in anything else, luck favors the smart and experienced.

Reading reviews and paying attention on TER really helps.

I saw a 4 figured provider and looking back it was unexpectedly disappointing considering who she was.  

Since then, I have seen a 3 figured provider who I only just met and have seen her many times since because she delivered everything that the 4 figured provider simply didn't try to.

Just because hobbyists are a dime a dozen shouldn't give you carte blanche to not perform to our standards.  High enders should aim to deliver the most mind blowing experience imaginable.

Pussy is pussy, it's not gold plated. Lina's post is applicable to escorts as well. I hobby in a fairly large city. Rates are anywhere from $ 1/2 to $$$$$ an hour for fs.  And I've hobbied at the high and  the low. Is the escort better, no not really, but the high priced escort is at a  four star property and the lower priced escort is at  lesser property.  The high priced lady may greet you wearing La Perla lingerie and Jimmy Choo's heels, the lower priced ladies is wearing VS lingerie and barefoot.  Is the sex any better?

I believe that ALL providers who offer and portray themselves as professionals should be held to uniformly high standards.

As the average provider charges more than the average lawyer; and most charge more than average neurosurgeons, I think it is entirely legitimate that ALL providers be held to uniformly high standards of performance and professionalism.

This is especially the case given that rates vary by location.

So within the context of a review, there should be no distinction between a lady charging $200 or $800.

HOWEVER -- for purposes of overall ratings, I believe it is legitimate that these be on a sliding scale based on rate.

I think we could come up with what could be called a "Value formula."

The average rate in her home TER region could easily be computed. This is HR.
Her actual rate (AR) could be divided by the HR to yield a rate coefficient RC. RC = AR/RC

The average ratings in her home TER region (appearance plus performane added then divided by 2) could be computed, RA.
Her ratings could be computed similarly after discarding both her best and worst reviews. If she has fewer than 10 after that, she isn't rated. RH

Then, there is a comparative coefficient, CC, indicating how well she stacks up to the average: CC= RH/RA

Her relative value (V) then could be computed by dividing the Comparative Coefficient by the Rate Coefficient: V=CC/HR.

It is the number V that woud be used to come up with ratings for providers in each reason.

Or, you could just do like me and book a lady because you like her and say to hell with the numbers. (*grin*)

...is inherently difficult and almost impossible to achieve in the real world. In the world of wine evaluation, the gold standard is the double blind tasting, where the person tasting the wine isn't told a thing about the wine before they are poured a sample from the bagged bottle. You're not told what type of grape(s) are the source; you're not told the main region or the sub-region; you're not told anything about the producer or their methods of production; and certainly not told anything about the price of the wine.

Then you do your thing, experience and analyze the wine, then write your notes in review. It's only *after* all that goes on that the "big reveal" shows the wines and you get to see how close you were in your analysis.

The big difference here is that, most times, the person doing the analyzing isn't paying for the wine.

In the real world, it makes a big difference to me how much of my hard-earned cash I'm laying down to pursue my pleasures. I have greater expectations from a $50 bottle of Oregon pinot noir than a $5 bottle of blended red from the clearance bin. I'm most happy when I have searched out the gem with the great price that outperforms the high priced product -- and that happens with wine, too!

making a decision on who to spend time with.  I would rather spend 2 hrs. (say a $300/hr. lady who offers 2 hrs. for 500 or 550) with a lady than 1 hr. with a lady whose rate is 500/hr.  As long as I can stay within my hobby budget, all is good.

Let's just agree to stick with the literature then: "Or, you could just do like me and book a lady because you like her and say to hell with the numbers."

What one man considers a lot of money is what the next man considers pocket change.  What one considers beautiful, another will consider homely.  What one considers a mind-blowing experience, another will find boring.  How do you set a scale based on so many subjective factors?
