I'm fairly new to TER, but I think this question might be best discussed on the general board. I would love to get some feedback from hobbyists who have experience with courtesans. Just wondering what you guys look for in a courtesan, how you know when you meet one, and how do you keep from falling for her when you keep seeing her. Any feedback you can provide would be really appreciated. Thanks!

I am a very nice to my clients, try to keep up with current events and a wide variety of topics, can carry on a halfway intelligent conversation, can pronounce half of the wines correctly at a restaurant, work out when I have time, maintain a good (but not designer) wardrobe, and am somewhat sexually versatile.  But I couldn't call myself a courtesan with a straight face.  So to answer your question, I have absolutely no idea.

'The Art of Seduction' by Robert Greene. While not about courtesans per se, it does present some accounts of the charm skills of famous historical courtesans.

Someone wrote a negative comment about the "romanticism" of courtesans. Courtesans are about the romance of the encounter. When a provider refers to themselves as courtesan, they are communicating they seek a different kind of interaction.
