Okay, I usually just ignore but I wonder how do people both hobbyist and providers deal with hate mail? I know I'm not the only one that gets them (Although I'm flattered because literally people are taking time to call me this or not including racist remarks) I'm just curious how do you deal with hate mail? Do you report it, answer it back or ignore it?
Some peeps just want to hit and run with the hate mail and aren't interested in any meaningful exchange. Nothing you can do about that.
But many are open to dialogue and minds can be changed or their hatred can be lessened. LOL
Personally, I always answer it back for its hard to determine who will hear you out and who won't at first.
But many times it ends with "well, I still don't agree with but you are not the horrible, goiter infested wretch I thought you were." LOL
I consider those wins.
For you though, I would ignore the racist ones. In my experience you aren't going to be able to change that mind or heart and I wouldn't even give them the satisfaction of a reply.

I simply belittle and make such cowards look just as foolish and impotent in private as I do in public. Anyone who has to stoop to "hate mail" is almost by definition a coward. As for your three choices, reporting it empowers the sender and makes him/her believe you can be intimidated. Don't sweat it Roxy, some people are just plain ignorant. I saw a beautiful provider that had blonde hair in her pics but when I went and met her she was a brunette. I actually thought she was even hotter but still beautiful either way. She told me of a client that came to see her once he saw she wasn't blonde to let him know when she went back to blonde. That was a stupid move on his part.

I ignore it, don't fuel fires you don't want. If they don't stop, I block and black list them. Some ladies have gone as far as restraining orders. Do whatever it takes to keep you safe and away from the nonsense. Normally not giving them a response is best.
I have responded once or twice with something like:

Whenever some type of derogatory comment comes my way, and it can happen right here on the general boards, I make a mental note of the sender. I may or may not make a comment in response, but after that one instance of disparagement, that handle no longer carries any weight, nor has any value. I refuse to read anything they write in the future. It doesn't matter if it pertains to me or not. They no longer have a voice.
If I did, I wouldn't have anyone left to talk to.

and I don't think Roxy is talking about being slammed on the public board, I think she is getting some "personalized" hate mail disparaging her for her race, her looks and any other hurtful thing the sender thinks he/she can use to hurt her. That kind of hate mail usually comes from a coward, too afraid for his/her comments to be made in the light of day. Ignoring a person like that is probably not a bad idea, but toying with them like a cat with a cowardly mouse works for me sometimes as well.

First of all, this jackass that sent you this hate mail has terrible taste, IMHO. To each his own, but I adore both Latinas (especially Dominicans) and curvaceous women in general, and Roxanne, you in particular seem like quite a catch.
Beyond that, I would suggest that you not waste any further time or effort on this fool and just ignore the message, and only report or block him if he continues to send you hate mail. What would you hope to accomplish and gain for yourself by reacting? IMHO, the only thing that you might have to gain would be some possible entertainment at his expense by messing around with him, as some other contributors to this thread have suggested. If that is not your cup of tea, then you can probably make better use of your time and energy by ignoring him and focusing instead on those that will appreciate you.
