"In the rarer moments where a client who leaves a very critical review of a provider wants to go back and see that provider again, I've seen visceral examples of the dynamic devolving and I maintain that I'm personally not interested in getting caught up in a predicament like that. So my point still stands. And in fact, I'll push even further and say that anyone who perceives me in that manner and would broadcast those opinions, definitely don't try to book me a second time and kindly don't try to book me the first time. Don't reach out to me at all. Do leave me alone."
I believe this is valuable information that can help prospective customers who follow TER scale to not engage with this provider as to avoid puhsback.
I feel like saying this on a forum where very few people read the board is not merely enough.
I think that such policy which doesn't favor leaving an honest and truthful critical review, done according to the ter scoring policy, should be broadcast publicly.
This is a dumb idea. First, it could be interpreted as scoring manipulation because those who choose to see her, and may want to see her again, will feel pressured to give her a higher score. And, you will have no way of knowing for sure if they are giving honest scores or ones to insure they can repeat. This needs to happen organically. If a reviewer feels she deserves a 6 or lower, that's what the reviewer should give her. If the consequences are she no longer wants to see them, then so be it. That's her choice, as much as it is the clients choice if he doesn't want to see her again. If he's butt hurt because he felt his 6 was generous and wanted to see her again, well tough shit.
Most of us who look at a providers pictures and think, she’s a 6, wouldn’t book her. So her comments do not apply to most of us. A smart provider creates her website and ads to lure in her target market, not to keep out those she doesn’t want. While she may be the one who just broadcast it here, I can assure you there are many other providers who would not want to see you if they knew in advance you think they’re a 6 or lower.
Wtf are you doing? Just let it go. You don't tell us how to run our businesses. We can include or omit whatever we want on our websites, your opinion be damned. Go read a book or something.
Sorry but I think you’re taking a statement and blowing it out of proportion. Others may agree with you, but she clearly meant what she said, so you posting this isnt a consequence- she might find it funny you designated an entire post, and others might interpret you and this post as crazy.
Any place with shared opinions is bound to have disagreements.. and that’s ok. Be an adult. Blasting, passive aggressively posting, or attempting to influence others just bc they took a (subjective) stance says more about you, than the other way around! TER should screen posts like this from both ends; it’s only necessary if someone is robbing/blackmailing/deposit scamming/fake profile, etc
No provider or client is entitled to a 2nd booking (review or not). We all have our own autonomy. It’s your right to review, and it’s our right to deny.. we don’t have to list each and every thing YOU feel is necessary. While I see both sides, it’s important to know when to disagree and move on.
I think you're slightly confused. If you think I'm making this post purely because I disagree that is not the case!
Nowhere did I claim anyone is entitled to anything. However TER has its set of rules in terms of reviews, and I'm interested to see how these TER rules regarding reviews will interact with this viewpoint.
And what do you mean "screen posts like this"? Posts like what? Did I call anyone any name? Did I make a threat of any kind? No ma'am. I am allowed by rules of this forum to quote a public post made by a poster in this forum and make it into a question.
I simply pointed out that if a provider feels strongly like this, she (or he/they) should probably let the customers know ahead of time in the place where they advertise. How else would someone know not to contact her at all?
