Magnums are better than the standard size, for me at least  I am in the size range where the standard ones are a bit too snug, but the larger Magnums allow for some slippage/movement, which increases sensation.  Not as good as female condoms, but better than standard size.

Too tight and it actually can impede your erection, it does NOT act like a cock ring and keep extra blood in your member.
Too loose and you risk the chance of it slipping off.

I've never run into a condom that's too tight or too loose.  As far as preferences go, I like the polyurethane condoms, because they're both stronger and thinner, so there's more sensation and more safety all rolled into one.  I usually use the Trojan Bareskin polyurethanes.

Condoms that don't wrap the penis tightly, and are loosen a bit, can be very uncomfortable. They can pinch you when inside of you. I prefer the ones that fit the penis, and aren't loosen, and only use larger ones if the "situation" demands it lol.
