mmmm now number online is around 2,800 ...  in the "old days" it was in excess of  50,000 ...  is the word not out yet .. or are people on for shorter times now .. or i wonder how many never signed off    

every few days, SOMEONE is announcing their return to TER who just now discovered the site was back up.  Not always on this board, but members who used to use other boards are  returning to those as well.  However, I am surprised that "users online" numbers are not growing faster than they are.  

In 2019, there was a sudden and suspicious jump in # Users Online.

Some people speculated that it was a software glitch or maybe even deliberately jacked up by TER.  The numbers went back down to the 200-500 after that thread.

I never used to question (or care about) the pre-FOSTA/SESTA online numbers but do you think it's possible that the old 50,000 # was artificially enhanced and that the real #s were 5,000? If so, we are ~half way back to the old norm.
