Interestingly enough, I couldn't log on at all most of last night until this morning which leads me to believe that this is not a fluke and that TER might have worked out at least some of their FOSTA/SESTA issues.
One thing I will note is that the review count is still down in the 300,000 range, so it doesn't look like TER is 100% back, but it's a start. Who knows, maybe they won't be turning out the lights after all? "Maybe"
Maybe if They got rid of all the legally questionable content. They could not be in violation of any US law.

Is accessibility. I would be surprised if things went all the way. back to the way they were. They still have to consider how to win back their customers while maintaining a defensible position with respect to FOSTA/SESTA. The most valuable asset is the inventory of reviews, but these have a shelf life as oroviders leave the business or move their location.
While the US reviews (virtually the entire net worth of the site) are quite another matter altogether.
The one thing I have learned about this place over the last many, many years is that TER rarely explains themselves to us mere members that pay the bills here. TER will tell us their reasons why, when and if they decide to. Personally I am not holding my breath, either for the reviews to magically re-appear or for Admin to give us any kind of explanation whatsoever, but I am quite willing to be pleasantly surprised if they choose to prove me wrong.

I think there are new rules that COULD be implemented that would allow the return of old reviews, that would grandfathered in because they were written pre-FOSTA, while putting some limitations on the content of new reviews that would make them FOSTA compliant, but would still be enough to attract guys back to TER VIP, because SOME information about providers to help us more easily choose is better than none. There should be a middle ground somewhere which TER may or may not have already discovered with the help of their attorneys, On the other hand, if they have finally figured out how to accomplish offshore anonymous ownership, the approach I have been pimping all along, then there is no reason why it can't return EXACTLY in the same form as before. We will all have to wait an see what else is coming, but this is an encouraging development, to say the least.
Not true. FOSTA states they can prosecute you for things that happenED BEFORE they came law.

That part is ex post facto and would never withstand a constitutional challenge. You can't make a law against killing chickens, even if its for a legitimate religious ceremony, and then prosecute everyone that ever killed a chicken in the past.
Which isn't at all the same as saying they won't fuck with you, and then just say 'oops, my bad'
an ex post facto challenge can be made by demurrer and/or summary judgment. You don't have to wait for trial and spend all of that money along the way. How stupid is the prosecutor going to feel when a defense attorney requests the court to take judicial notice of the U.S. Constitution. Lol

I think this would be fosta/sesta compliant however i am no lawyer.....
Take text out of reviews, and just have clients give start ratings on looks/performance, and check whether photos are accurate and if they would recommend , but leaving text and graphic details out.
Maybe a good compromise for all....
needs to be removed, but it would probably be best if guys were not "recommending" providers to other guys. If they just give the facts about what they did with her, which can be as graphic as in the past, then it falls squarely under free speech. I think the FOSTA violation is in the "promoting" of prostitution. Just saying, "Hey, here's what I did with this lady is not promoting" IMO.
SESTA is even more difficult to prove. First they have to have a case of human trafficking, then they have to prove that it was somehow facilitated by something someone posted on TER. As long as TER is screening their advertisers, and moderating board posts from new members, it shouldn't be a problem. BP was targeted because they were accepting ads from human traffickers and seemed to have knowledge of it, but that case was commenced pre-FOSTA/SESTA. Now, knowledge is no longer a required element. There just has to be sufficient screening by TER to make sure ads from traffickers don't slip through the cracks and appear on the ad boards. Otherwise, the ad boards should not come back up.
I think just using "stars" does nothing to help mongers choose providers to see. All you have to do is look at the frequent disparity between the narrative of a review and the numerical grades the reviewer gave to know using stars only would be even worse.

It's a strange feeling to be back. I eventually got tired of having to log into a vpn every time I wanted to visit TER. Might be time to jump back into the game if things continue to return. Hopefully they went overseas and can go that route.

I logged on for the first time since the shut down and I bought VPN earlier during the shut down wanting to post in Canada for my upcoming trip ... I got blocked by the powers that be . So I stopped paying for the VPN . So now what ? I don’t need the reviews as I have them all over .How do we post anything without being censored? What about pics ? You can post ur pic on photo board, but cannot link it to your website.
Keeping active in discussions is the only other way to be seen. You can reply to someones post and include a link but you can’t make it appear like an ad. You cannot start a new topic and post a link to your website regardless of what you the topic is. But if someone replies, you can reply then post a link to your site.

First, I would stop paying them. Should have stopped the day they closed access to reviews listed with US information and the site itself.
Several ladies contacted TER and asked them to remove information listing the US and provided another country as there new base Home.
Most were successful and there profile remains visible, but others were not so lucky. Either someone noted they were still in the US or TER felt they were in the US.
Paying TER as a provider where you can’t even post ads that lists your profile and reviews to ad boards outside of the US isn’t worth it.
But if the country you plan to visit has an ad board you probably could post and include a link to your site. Maybe then let TER know and request they remove any location references to the US.
You never had to pay to see your reviews, or send PMs. But to look up guys reviews you had to pay. Now the majority of benefit are gone for US reviewers why pay? Except to check on those you want to see from outside this country.

I remain baffled why TER does not make itself into a pure review site...for each US provider profile/review:
- remove all links to external websites
- remove all contact info (except for city)
- remove all pricing info
- monitor all review postings to exclude all the above or even hints (e.g. "I left her 400 roses")
Effectively you're reviewing an erotic meetup with someone named "Chloe" or "Rose", etc. That's it. With a little careful matching by hobbyists you can make pretty good guesses using Swiiter, Slixa, p411, etc.

I haven't seen anything like that, but it's been at least a month since I last visited Switter. I live in a major metro area, but local Switter searches only come up with maybe a dozen providers and some tumbleweeds.
Means "a lot of nerve," gall, for those who've never seen/heard the word.
Had basically stopped bothering to use VPN to check the site as there was so little to see.
Then, checking "hobby" email I see a notice from TER that my VIP membership will "soon expire" and instructing me to send them more $ to renew. When I had written them to ask for a refund of my largely unused last quarterly membership once US reviews and ads disappeared, they replied that they were unable to issue such, but that they'd add 90 days to my membership and continue doing so until they were up and running again.
Well, so much for that promise...
Logged on via VPN to express some choice words to them through "contact," only to then stumble onto the news that US access was (briefly? mistakenly?) restored, but still without reviews, ads, and most else that had me paying them for 18 years.
Oh well. Do they think I'll actually send them more money for what they're presently providing us Amurikans?

I'm no longer VIP myself and find it useless at this point. Hope you have found a safe way to connect since LE is still after our community. Florida has had many such stings

When FOSTA/SESTA really kicks in. I don't know (conjecture only. I really miss this place the way it used to be.
on being in the US (ladies had to "move" out of the country, it's not coming back to the US. I mean, as you stated FOSTA/SESTA doesn't really kick in until January yet they chose to do what they did about 9 months ago, with the axe falling hard in July.
I'd love to be wrong here though...

All I can say is that I am glad to be based in the UK, but then it is only a matter of time. Perhaps Brexit will keep the government busy. It is time to trace my family line and hope for a hidden Irish grand parent.

Wow!!! Just saw this post. It's been a good long horrible while since I checked into TER. It's great having it back, but since I moved from busy Cleveland Ohio, I thought I'd find more action now that I moved to Daytona Beach FL. Hopefully, more and more will see TER is back. Hope I get more reviews for escorts in Daytona Beach, but I'll take the camraderie from everyone....welcome back indeed!!!!
